B2ST’s Doojoon selected as the most ideal idol manager

B2ST leader Yoon Doojoon has been acknowledged for his considerate personality.

During a recent shoot for the upcoming September 5th broadcast of MBC MUSIC‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, the idols were asked to select a fellow idol member they would like to have as a manager, and the top 7 names were revealed.

Among the names were Big Bang‘s G-Dragon who has an eye for talent, SHINee‘s Onew who takes care of his members more than his own self, and 2AM‘s Changmin who personally cooks for his group the way a mother would.

However, B2ST’s Doojoon triumphed all these candidates and boldly claimed the #1 spot. The idols who voted for him explained that he pays attention to even the smallest concerns of his fellow members, and therefore was selected as the most ideal idol manager. B.A.P‘s Bang Yong Guk who voted for Doojoon added, “He seems like he has a lot of stamina, and appears thoughtful and attentive, as well as understanding.”

Trend Alert: Womenswear for Men

While it’s nothing new for women to borrow from the men’s section, the idea of men wearing clothes designed for women is less common. Sure, we see idols in drag all the time, but do we ever see men wearing stuff from the women’s department unironically? This summer, the answer is yes, as these five, fashion-forward men show us that style really is genderless.

In Seungri‘s version of Big Bang‘s Alive Special Edition (released in June), there’s a picture of him wearing a leopard print shirt. As it turns out, this shirt is from one of Roberto Cavalli’s womenswear lines! Also in June, style icon G-Dragon was spotted in Paris wearing a black maxi skirt with a red belt and white t-shirt. During that trip, he did a photo shoot with Harper’s Bazaar, where he wore a black, knee-length skirt with his skateboarding gear.

On June 28th, in order to fit in with the “beach theme” of the Mnet 20′s Choice Awards, the Asian Soul J.Y. Park himself wore a black, wraparound maxi skirt with a slit up the back, paired with black gladiator sandals. He dressed the outfit up with a cap-sleeved, white button-down and red bowtie.

2AM‘s Jo Kwon made good on his promise to perform in Jeffrey Campbell‘s 19.5cm shoes with no heel support on July 1st, giving everyone something to talk about. He completed his dramatic stage costume with tight black pants and a dramatic, feathered collar that extended from his nose to his waist.

2AM’s Jo Kwon chows down on junk food while watching the Olympics

2AM‘s Jo Kwon shared a photo of himself eating a variety of snacks late into the evening.

On August 2nd, the singer shared the above photos via his personal Twitter page and wrote, “To cool down as I watch the Olympics. And I’m hungry. Ddukbokki, blood sausages, fried snacks, strawberry shaved ice, ice cream in the car.”

His photo caused fans to get a bit hungry themselves as they responded, “I can’t believe how skinny you are despite eating like that,” “Yes, you must watch the Olympics with snacks,” and “I want some too!”

Meanwhile, Jo Kwon recently made his solo debut with “I’m Da One“.

2AM’s Changmin snaps a photo with his ideal woman, Jo Yeo Jung

2AM‘s Changmin finally got to meet his “ideal type” in person. The 2AM member selected actress Jo Yeo Jung as his ideal type in the past.

Changmin recently shared the photo above via his official Twitter page and wrote, “Thank you, God.. DEOVOLENTE!! I fulfilled my wish today…. TT^TT;;“.

Fellow group member Seulong then responded to his tweet saying, “Daebak. So there was a reason why you were in such a good mood all day.”

Netizens who saw the photo of Changmin smiling like a fanboy with his arm wrapped around his favorite actress responded, “Your ideal type!” and “Is that your girlfriend?”

JYPE releases rehearsal photos of the Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, & JJ Project for upcoming ‘JYP Nation’ concert

There are just two days to go until the JYP Nation concert kicks off, and its artists are busy at work in the rehearsal room completing their finishing touches.

JYP Entertainment shared a slew of behind-the-scenes photos of the artists hard at work with allthatkpops to give fans a glimpse into the family-like atmosphere. Included are cuts of the members working together for their collaboration stages, such as Sohee playing around with Junsu, and Junho and Seulong taking a break in a corner of the room together.

Junho showed a playful side by taking a photo with Sun‘s puppy while J.Y. Park can be seen working on new songs at the keyboard at any spare moment. JJ Project looks as if they’re flying about the room during their rehearsal cuts with the same youthful energy they’re known for on stage.

The pictures only serve to heighten the anticipation for their upcoming concert!

JYP Entertainment expressed, “All of the JYP artists are working hard with one heart with just days left until the concert. There are a lot more of various stages planned compared to last year, so we encourage everyone to anticipate it.”

The JYP Nation concert will take place on August 4th at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

2AM’s Jo Kwon and Wonder Girls’ Sun look similar?

2AM‘s Jo Kwon shared some photos with his close friend Sun of the Wonder Girls.

On July 31st, Jo Kwon attached the above photo and wrote, “My friend, we’re starting to look alike as time passes by. P.S give Kumong-ee some too“.

In the revealed photo, Jo Kwon and Sun can be seen placing their heads next to each other as they make adorable expressions with puckered lips. Jo Kwon also attached another picture of Sun eating her rice ball.

ZE:A’s Dongjun injures his back during the ‘Idol Star Olympics’

ZE:A‘s Dongjun injured his back during MBC‘s ‘Idol Star Olympics‘.

During part 2 of MBC’s ‘Idol Star Olympics’ which aired on July 26th, Dongjun had slipped a little at the start of his 110m hurdle race, however, his competitive nature got the best of him and he jumped the hurdle regardless, causing injury to his back. Despite the pain, Dongjun powered through to finish the race.

After the race came to an end, Dongjun was escorted out with the help of a representative, and the singer had to unfortunately forfeit the 100 meter dash. “I was so nervous and fired up that I caused injury to myself,” Dongjun said. “It’s unfortunate because I wanted to participate in the 100 meter dash. I’m sorry.”

Because of injuries like Dongjun’s, the safety of these competitive and athletic variety programs are once again being questioned.

In related news, 2AM‘s Changmin, TEEN TOP‘s Niel, ZE:A’s Kim Dongjun, SHINee‘s Minho, Boyfriend‘s Donghyun, 2AM‘s Lim Seulong, INFINITE‘s Woohyun, and Dalmation‘s Simon participated during the 110m hurdle race. In the end, it was SHINee’s Minho who took home the gold medal.

Jo Kwon selected as a special MC for ‘Quiz That Changes The World’

On July 23rd, MBC‘s ‘Quiz That Changes The World‘ announced that 2AM‘s Jo Kwon was selected to be the show’s special MC. Producer Park Hyun Shik stated that Jo Kwon will be participating in a shoot for an upcoming broadcast to take place on July 26th.

After the MBC strike, the return of the program will bring a new feature on board: in addition to MC’s Park Mi Sun and Lee Hwi Jae, the show will now include a new special MC each week to add new vigor and energy to the show.

PD Park Hyun Shik stated, “Stars that received the limelight through ‘Quiz That Changes The World’ will be featured each week as special emcees for a while. At the same time, however, we are not replacing MC Kim Gura. Please look forward to the new special MC program!”

miss A‘s Min and Jia tweeted on their way to watching Changmin of 2AM perform in the musical ‘La Cage Aux Folles‘.

Jia tweeted on the 20th, “On our way to watch Changmin oppa’s musical! Go go go.” She later added, “Today, Changmin oppa’s musical ‘La Cage’ was so much fun! Everyone must go see it! It’s so funny! Daebak daebak!”

Seohyun gives Jinwoon a thoughtful gift before his ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′ trip to Madagascar

Before heading off to Madagascar to film SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘, 2AM‘s Jinwoon shared a photo of the small, heartwarming gift given to him by Girls’ Generation‘s youngest member Seohyun.

On July 19th, the 2AM maknae snapped a photo of the present and tweeted, “Ah. Indeed, friends are the best! T.T”

Seohyun gifted Jinwoon with vitamins and a card that read, “My precious friend, Jinwoon! Take care of your health! I hope you return safely from the jungle. I applaud you on your venture. Jung Jinwoon, fighting~!”

Fans commented, “I wish I had a friend like her,” “Her handwriting is so pretty, and she’s even good at drawing,” “I want to be friends with Seohyun,” “I hope he returns safely,” “Good luck, Jinwoon,” and more.

2AM’s Seulong apologizes for being handsome?

2AM‘s Jinwoon shared a hilarious photo of fellow member Seulong.

On July 18th, Jinwoon simply tweeted: “Kekekeke,” and attached the photo above. Seulong is seen wearing a plain white t-shirt with big bold letters that read, “I’m sorry for being handsome!”

However, it seems as though Seulong didn’t realize he was being captured as he later tweeted in response, “I was wondering what you were doing in front of me ㅡㅡ…”

Fans were given a good laugh and commented, “2AM is so cute,” “He is handsome,” “I wonder if he really wears that t-shirt when he goes out,” and “I love you Jinwoon and Seulong.”

Alternative careers best suited for today’s top male idols?

What could today’s top idol leaders be doing if they were not efficiently leading their group members to success in the K-Pop industry?

Korean netizens seemed to have a good idea, as an online post titled ‘Male Idol Group Leaders’ Potential Careers Based On Appearance’ heated up the online community boards. The post listed some alternative occupations they felt would best suit their favorite male idol leaders, based on their individual image.

To start, they suggested Super Junior‘s Leeteuk to become a language instructor at an academy, as he is extremely well-spoken and an expert when it comes to hosting variety programs.

They further suggested that Big Bang‘s multi-talented leader G-Dragon to be the president of a dance club in school, while stating that the amiable and gentle Onew of SHINee would serve as a good departmental student representative.

The outgoing Jo Kwon of 2AM was thought to be the perfect guy to bring along on overnight college trips, as he easily creates a hilarious and fun atmosphere with his personality. Fans also felt B2ST‘s leader Yoon Doojoon was the perfect person to become a physical education instructor, and that the suave Jung Yonghwa of CNBLUE has the image of ‘that handsome oppa’ at church.

2AM’s Seulong shares series of Jo Kwon’s funny expressions

2AM‘s Seulong and Jo Kwon who recently celebrated their 4th anniversary uploaded several photos that amused fans in amusement.

Seulong shared on his Twitter on the 12th, “Filming with winter clothes on. This is the unemployed concept.. Kwon ah”, along with photos of them fooling around in the dressing room.

Seulong and Jo Kwon are seen wearing blue and red matching training suits. Seulong appears to be casually resting on the couch while Jo Kwon treats fans with five different expressions that are straight out hilarious.

Fans who saw this commented, “Kkap Kwon is filled with charm”, “I guess you guys film in winter clothes during the summer”, and “The unemployed concept is perfectly displayed.”

Jo Kwon accidentally signed a marriage certificate?

It was revealed that 2AM‘s Jo Kwon accidentally signed a marriage certificate.

On the July 15th’s airing of Y-STAR‘s ‘Curiosity‘, it was revealed that Jo Kwon signed a marriage certificate that a female fan gave him to autograph.

On this day’s broadcast, a female, who revealed herself to be Jo Kwon’s fan, surprised viewers when she showed a marriage certificate that had Jo Kwon’s signature on it.

This happened back in 2009 when 2AM was promoting “Confession of a Friend” and this fan always brought the marriage certificate around with her to get Jo Kwon to sign it.

She said, “I wanted to marry Jo Kwon so I got his signature when he was distracted because of the chaotic atmosphere of the fan signing event.”

After the production crew looked into this issue, it was discovered that a marriage certificate done in such a manner is not valid.

Jo Kwon looks like a comic character?

A manhwa (or Korean comic) character that resembles 2AM member, and currently soloist, Jo Kwon has been evoking laughters.

On the July 12th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Happy Together 3′, Jo Kwon, 2PM‘s Wooyoung, SISTAR‘s Dasom and Bora, Eun Ji Won, and M.I.B‘s Kangnam featured as guests on the show. During the episode, comedian Huh Kyung Hwan revealed to the cast members and guests alike, “Jo Kwon actually appears inside a manhwa,” before pulling out a picture to prove his point.

In the picture, a manhwa character portrays an attitude that resembles Jo Kwon’s whenever the idol transforms into his ‘Kkab Kwon’ self. Although the drawing is a bit of an exaggeration, the character’s sassy glare and disgusted expression are similar to Jo Kwon’s diva looks.

Netizens who have seen the episode have expressed their awe and amusement, commenting, “This is seriously daebak (awesome),” “But where did they find that manhwa character?,” “The resemblance between Jo Kwon and the manhwa character is seriously 200%,” and, “Whether Jo Kwon resembles the manhwa character, or the manhwa character resembles Jo Kwon, it’s funny.”

2AM’s Jo Kwon sheds tears after receiving a surprise visit from Jinwoon on ‘Strong Heart’

2AM‘s Jo Kwon shed a few hot tears when fellow group member Jinwoon made a surprise appearance during his shoot for SBS ‘Strong Heart‘.

On the July 10th broadcast, Jo Kwon remarked, ”I’ve never once fought with the 2AM members during our 4 years together“. He added, “But there was one time I was saddened by them.”

He continued, “I stayed up nearly 3 days and nights filming my solo MV, but they never even stopped by once. I talked to Wooyoung who was also filming a MV, and he said all the 2PM members came to see him, so I became really sad.”

Jo Kwon continued to express his hurt feelings saying, “I even texted them on the last day of my shoot, but still no one came.”

After his rant, Boom announced that he had a surprise for the singer. “We invited a special guest just for you Jo Kwon,” he said. “Who do you want to see the most right now?”

Naturally, Jo Kwon answered that he missed his 2AM members the most, and suddenly, fellow group member Jinwoon made his entrance from the back of the stage.

Seeing the flowers in Jinwoon’s hands, Jo Kwon could not hold back the emotional tears that began to flow from his eyes.

Jo Kwon admitted, “It was really difficult preparing for my solo album, and I thought of my members a lot.” Jinwoon then handed Jo Kwon the audience members the individually wrapped roses asking them to cheer on Jo Kwon for his solo promotions.

“Your solo song and the choreography are all very cool,” Jinwoon said. He then stated he had one more thing to say. As Jo Kwon anticipated, Jinwoon shouted, “Wooyoung, fighting!” making the studio laugh at his joking betrayal of Jo Kwon and Wooyoung to stand up and give him a high five.

The two 2AM members then confirmed their friendship and loyalty as they hugged each other warmly.
