B2ST’s Doojoon selected as the most ideal idol manager

B2ST leader Yoon Doojoon has been acknowledged for his considerate personality.

During a recent shoot for the upcoming September 5th broadcast of MBC MUSIC‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, the idols were asked to select a fellow idol member they would like to have as a manager, and the top 7 names were revealed.

Among the names were Big Bang‘s G-Dragon who has an eye for talent, SHINee‘s Onew who takes care of his members more than his own self, and 2AM‘s Changmin who personally cooks for his group the way a mother would.

However, B2ST’s Doojoon triumphed all these candidates and boldly claimed the #1 spot. The idols who voted for him explained that he pays attention to even the smallest concerns of his fellow members, and therefore was selected as the most ideal idol manager. B.A.P‘s Bang Yong Guk who voted for Doojoon added, “He seems like he has a lot of stamina, and appears thoughtful and attentive, as well as understanding.”

G-Dragon sends a sweet message to his fans via Twitter

After teasing fans with multiple photos offering a glimpse into his comeback concept, Big Bang‘s G-Dragon wrote a heartfelt message to fans via his official Twitter page.

He wrote, “To y’all luv. I want to see you guys too. It’ll be soon now. You guys have no idea what’s going on, huh? I don’t know either haha.”

“Surprises are always fun. I’ll make a surprise appearance when you guys least expect it so don’t worry and please excitedly wait for me,” he continued. “It’s only because I want to do this well. Ok then, see you guys soon.”

The sweet message was met with explosive reactions from fans who are eagerly awaiting his highly anticipated solo comeback.

In related news, the singer will be celebrating his 24th birthday on August 18th.

Big Bang’s Seungri to hold his first solo fan meets in Japan

Amidst his active promotions in various Japanese variety shows, Big Bang‘s Seungri has announced that he’ll be holding his very own solo fan meet for the first time.

On August 10th, YG Entertainment officials revealed, “Seungri, who’s been having his gag skills recognized through various Japanese variety programs, will be holding his first solo fan meet on August 27th and September 9th in Tokyo and Osaka in addition to preparing for Big Bang’s world tour.”

Since Big Bang’s conclusion of their Japanese world tour last month, Seungri stayed behind in Japan to expand his skills and promote in different areas. Recently, he was given his own TV slot titled ‘V.I. From Big Bang‘ and given a special MC position on Fuji TV‘s ‘Sakigake! Ongakubanzuke Eight‘.

Seungri will still be preparing for the group’s world tour while attending to his solo activities.

G-Dragon wears ‘SOUL by Ludacris Big Bang Special Edition’

On August 8 KST, G-Dragon tweeted, “SOUL by Ludacris ‘BIG BANG‘ Special Edition,” and revealed the selcas above.

In the pictures above, G-Dragon is seen wearing the SOUL headphones like a pair of sunglasses. Big Bang is reported to have designed these special edition headphones themselves and have also modeled for them

Fans commented, “Is it your head that is small or the headphones that are big,” “He’s so good looking,” and “G-Dragon is much cooler than the headphones.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang is set to have their ‘Alive‘ tour in Singapore on September 28th.

Big Bang’s T.O.P gets frisked at airport

Photos of Big Bang‘s T.O.P getting a pat down at an airport by a security agent has become a hot topic of conversation.

On August 6th, a user uploaded a video onto an online community board with the title, “Even T.O.P getting searched at an airport looks like a photo shoot“.

The rapper is dressed in a pink jacket, black pants, and a pair of shades. He can be seen being thoroughly searched by a female employee at the airport, arousing much envy from many fans.

Fans and netizens commented, “I’m jealous of that female employee“, “Was T.O.P nervous? He’s expressionless“, “That male employee looks jealous“, and “He looks good in whatever he wears.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang will be holding their ‘Alive Tour 2012‘ concert from September to December in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and more.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon has ‘finale’ with kitty cat?

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon wrapped up the end of filming with a kitty cat.

On August 6th, G-Dragon tweeted, “Finished with shooting. I guess I’m celebrating my finale with [him],” along with the pictures above.

In the picture, the bubblegum-pink haired leader is posing forehead-to-forehead with an adorable cat. G-Dragon seemed to be creating a similar finale scene featured in Andre Kim‘s fashion shows (as seen below). His fierce fashion was also noticeable with his red knit sweater complementing his unique hair color.

Netizens commented, “He can’t hide his fashion instincts,” “As expected from G-Dragon,” and “It’s extreme, but he looks good.”

Trend Alert: Womenswear for Men

While it’s nothing new for women to borrow from the men’s section, the idea of men wearing clothes designed for women is less common. Sure, we see idols in drag all the time, but do we ever see men wearing stuff from the women’s department unironically? This summer, the answer is yes, as these five, fashion-forward men show us that style really is genderless.

In Seungri‘s version of Big Bang‘s Alive Special Edition (released in June), there’s a picture of him wearing a leopard print shirt. As it turns out, this shirt is from one of Roberto Cavalli’s womenswear lines! Also in June, style icon G-Dragon was spotted in Paris wearing a black maxi skirt with a red belt and white t-shirt. During that trip, he did a photo shoot with Harper’s Bazaar, where he wore a black, knee-length skirt with his skateboarding gear.

On June 28th, in order to fit in with the “beach theme” of the Mnet 20′s Choice Awards, the Asian Soul J.Y. Park himself wore a black, wraparound maxi skirt with a slit up the back, paired with black gladiator sandals. He dressed the outfit up with a cap-sleeved, white button-down and red bowtie.

2AM‘s Jo Kwon made good on his promise to perform in Jeffrey Campbell‘s 19.5cm shoes with no heel support on July 1st, giving everyone something to talk about. He completed his dramatic stage costume with tight black pants and a dramatic, feathered collar that extended from his nose to his waist.

Actor Shin Hyun Joon reveals a past photo with Big Bang’s Seungri

Actor Shin Hyun Joon revealed an old photo he took with Big Bang‘s Seungri.

On July 28th, Shin Hyun Joon shared the above picture and tweeted, “Puahahaha, I found a funny picture. Sea sick, Seungri zero times, me fifty thousand times.”

The revealed picture was taken back in 2010, and it shows the two stars side-by-side on a ship dressed in fisherman clothing. Shin Hyun Joon looks like he’s out of it due to sea sickness, while Seungri looks as if he’s trying to comfort him as he puts his arms around him, making a sad face.

Netizens commented, “Shin Hyun Joon’s expression is so funny,” “Dependable maknae Seungri,” and “I want the two to be on TV again.”

Shin Hyun Joon and Seungri met when they were both on MBC‘s ‘Sunday Sunday Night‘ back in 2010.

Taeyang’s older brother, Dong Hyun Bae confirmed for new role in ‘Alumnus’

Actor Dong Hyun Bae (Older brother of Big Bang‘s Taeyang) has been confirmed to join the cast of new film, ‘Alumnus‘.

The film is already drawing high interest from fans, as actress Han Yae Ri and Big Bang‘s T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun) have also been cast as the main leads.

According to an ‘Alumnus’ representative, Dong Hyun Bae will be playing the role of a strong character who constantly torments the main character, Myung Hoon (T.O.P).

‘Alumnus’ will tell the story of Myung Hoon who lived as an assassin in North Korea, and the events that take place once he travels to South Korea in order to complete a homicide task.

The film will be directed by Park Shin Woo who also produced ‘White Night‘, and anticipation continues to grow for the movie, as it is T.O.P’s first return to the big screen since filming ‘Into the Fire‘ 2 years ago.

Dong Hyun Bae was praised for his role in ‘Metamorphosis‘, and has also taken on roles in ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band‘, and is now acting in ‘Youngae 10‘.

I’m not too sure who started this trend but I think it was either SHINee or f(x). Either way, the ‘ombre’ hairstyle is still pretty cool. But to try it out in the real world, I’d say it’s a bit risky.

Yang Hyun Suk and Big Bang go on a ‘late night movie outing’ together

It seems as though a few lucky fans were able to spot producer Yang Hyun Suk and Big Bang on their recent ‘late night movie outing’ together.

A user recently uploaded the two photo above onto an online forum titled, “Big Bang and Yang Hyun Suk came to watch ‘Dark Knight Rises‘ at the Sangamdong CGV theater“.

The first photo shows Yang Hyun Suk, members of Big Bang, and acquaintances walking towards the entrance of the movie theater. Whereas in the second photo, the group is seen gathered around a table and conversing before entering the theater.

As previously reported, Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon had updated his new Twitter account with a photo of himself kissing Anne Hathaway‘s movie poster, who plays the role of Catwoman in the last Batman series. The singer had wrote, “I’m fallin’ in love with her. Dark Knight daebak.”
