2PM’s Taecyeon, Junsu, and miss A’s Suzy donate 800kg of rice thanks to their fans

2PM‘s Taecyeon, Junsu, and miss A‘s Suzy donated the rice they received from their fans to help those in need.

Fans donated the rice at the ‘JYP Nation‘ concert held on August 4th. Suzy’s fan site sent 100kg (220.5lbs), Junsu’s fan site ‘Daegu-tang’ sent 200kg (441lbs), and Taecyeon’s fan site ‘Ohk Taec Yeon Hap’ sent 500kg (1102lbs) of rice. A total of 800kg (1764lbs) of rice was donated to various charities of the idols choosing.

Taecyeon took a picture in front of the rice donations and thanked his fans by tweeting, “Thank you for the wreaths and rice~ Fighting!!!”

Junsu also thanked his fans by sharing a picture of the donations as he tweeted, “Working hard at rehearsals! Thank you for the wreaths and rice!^^”

Suzy supports Wooyoung’s last performance of “Sexy Lady”

miss A‘s Suzy supported 2PM‘s Wooyoung at the last performance of his solo debut song “Sexy Lady“.

On August 5th, Suzy shared the photo above and tweeted, “I was filming nearby and went to support Wooyoung oppa’s last broadcast. ‘Sexy Lady’ mam mam I’m going to miss it.”

The picture reveals JYP Entertainment labelmates Wooyoung and Suzy posing for a friendly shot. Suzy especially attracted attention with her trademark long hair and neat bangs.

On the same day, Wooyoung also thanked Suzy for her visit by tweeting, “Suzy~ kind hoobae, keke, thanks for today’s support. And let’s just say that our Jia unni sent [her regards].”

Netizens commented, “Wooyoung and Suzy are really friendly,” “They look like siblings,” and “They unexpectedly look alike.”

Wooyoung finished the promotions for “Sexy Lady” on SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ on August 5th.

JYPE releases rehearsal photos of the Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, & JJ Project for upcoming ‘JYP Nation’ concert

There are just two days to go until the JYP Nation concert kicks off, and its artists are busy at work in the rehearsal room completing their finishing touches.

JYP Entertainment shared a slew of behind-the-scenes photos of the artists hard at work with allthatkpops to give fans a glimpse into the family-like atmosphere. Included are cuts of the members working together for their collaboration stages, such as Sohee playing around with Junsu, and Junho and Seulong taking a break in a corner of the room together.

Junho showed a playful side by taking a photo with Sun‘s puppy while J.Y. Park can be seen working on new songs at the keyboard at any spare moment. JJ Project looks as if they’re flying about the room during their rehearsal cuts with the same youthful energy they’re known for on stage.

The pictures only serve to heighten the anticipation for their upcoming concert!

JYP Entertainment expressed, “All of the JYP artists are working hard with one heart with just days left until the concert. There are a lot more of various stages planned compared to last year, so we encourage everyone to anticipate it.”

The JYP Nation concert will take place on August 4th at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

2PM’s Nichkhun reaches a settlement + will continue hiatus for the time being

On July 31st, 2PM‘s Nichkhun reached a settlement with the other party in his recent car accident and expressed his desire to continue his period of reflection.

JYP Entertainment revealed on August 2nd, “Since the accident, Nichkhun has been spending his time reflecting on his actions. He will not be attending the JYP Nation concert scheduled for the 4th. His decision to stay out of his other official schedules also stand the same.”

They continued, “Nichkhun has postponed his Korean and Japanese activities with the exception of those that involve contracts that were signed at an earlier date and require his presence. He will be working out a solution for those in a way that will not harm anyone involved.”

ZE:A’s Dongjun injures his back during the ‘Idol Star Olympics’

ZE:A‘s Dongjun injured his back during MBC‘s ‘Idol Star Olympics‘.

During part 2 of MBC’s ‘Idol Star Olympics’ which aired on July 26th, Dongjun had slipped a little at the start of his 110m hurdle race, however, his competitive nature got the best of him and he jumped the hurdle regardless, causing injury to his back. Despite the pain, Dongjun powered through to finish the race.

After the race came to an end, Dongjun was escorted out with the help of a representative, and the singer had to unfortunately forfeit the 100 meter dash. “I was so nervous and fired up that I caused injury to myself,” Dongjun said. “It’s unfortunate because I wanted to participate in the 100 meter dash. I’m sorry.”

Because of injuries like Dongjun’s, the safety of these competitive and athletic variety programs are once again being questioned.

In related news, 2AM‘s Changmin, TEEN TOP‘s Niel, ZE:A’s Kim Dongjun, SHINee‘s Minho, Boyfriend‘s Donghyun, 2AM‘s Lim Seulong, INFINITE‘s Woohyun, and Dalmation‘s Simon participated during the 110m hurdle race. In the end, it was SHINee’s Minho who took home the gold medal.

JYP Entertainment reveals Nichkhun will not be attending upcoming events for the time being

Just after the tweeting of the recent heartfelt apology by Nichkhun, JYP Entertainment has informed allthatkpops about the the singer’s apology as well as announcing a few changes in upcoming events.

The agency stated through an email,

This is JYP Entertainment.

Nichkhun has deeply apologized for his wrongdoings to everyone who has shown him love for the past five years, and mentioned that he would like to take some time to reflect on himself before returning to all his fans and the public with a new heart and mindset.

We, JYP Entertainment, will respect Nichkhun’s wishes, and as such, Nichkhun will not be attending the scheduled JYP Nation concert in Korea and Japan in August as well as JYP Fan’s Day among other upcoming schedules. For the events with contracts involved, we will do our best to amend the schedule and cooperate in a way that will not bring harm to those involved.

We deeply apologize that an incident such as this occurred with our agency artist, and we will continue to concentrate our efforts to make sure that things like this will not happen again.

Witness at the scene of Nichkhun’s accident says it was not entirely the 2PM member’s fault

While 2PM‘s Nichkhun was detained without constraint for driving under the influence of alcohol, a witness who was at the scene of the recent accident says Nichkhun was not entirely at fault.

At 2:30 in the morning of July 24th, an accident occurred between a motorcycle and Nichkhun’s Volkswagen at an intersection in Gangnam. At the time, Nichkhun was returning home after having two beers at a company dinner. His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, causing his license to become suspended.

Witness ‘A’ (39) who was at the scene of the accident recalled the incident in detail to Herald News on July 25th.

“Nichkhun’s vehicle and the motorcycle were coming towards each other at the Ahn Sae Hospital four-way intersection in a cross direction,” the witness began. “The motorcycle was coming down the road, and Nichkhun’s vehicle was driving up. The motorcycle was on the left making a right, when it bumped into the right side of Nichkhun’s vehicle.”

After the initial collision, Nichkhun’s vehicle had suffered a few scratches. The witness then explained, “I think the secondary shock had caused the body of the motorcyclist to turn and hit the right side of Nichkhun’s car near the tire. With that said, I think Nichkhun had the chips on his car because the body of the motorcyclist had run into it.”

“I would say both drivers were driving poorly,” the witness continued. “This accident is not 100% Nichkhun’s fault. Both drivers were speeding, and even if they did come to an abrupt stop, it was not a situation where they could have avoided an accident.”

“I think this will have a huge impact on Nichkhun’s image. I hope he does not suffer too much harm because of this,” the witness added.

In regards to the collision, Seoul’s Gangnam Police Station currently investigating the incident also ruled that Nichkhun’s drinking had nothing to do with the accident itself. The police have not received a statement from the motorcyclist about the accident, and therefore the police plan on revisiting the scene of the accident to do some on-the-spot inspection once they receive a written report from the driver. The two driver’s negligence in regards to the accident will be determined then.

To better handle the situation, 119 (Korea’s 911) was called immediately after the collision and the rescue team had mobilized to the scene. According to witness A, Nichkhun “turned so pale, he was so remorseful and shocked. The driver of the motorcycle was on the ground at the time, so he looked extremely panicked.” The witness also denied the reports that spoke of an argument that allegedly took place between the two drivers after the collision.

Following the accident, the motorcyclist went with witness A in the ambulance to Konkuk University Medical Center and was treated for his torn ear cartilage. The driver also received a CT scan and an X-Ray. Witness A remarked, “There was a lot of blood, and he complained of pain in his back and shoulders.”

The motorcyclist is currently hospitalized at Hyemin General Hospital in Jayang-dong. He is reported to have “small damage in his first lumbar bone, and a scratch in his shoulder bone,” causing him to be unable to move.

JYP Entertainment has publicly apologized for the accident, saying that they will “earnestly oblige to any follow-up investigations that may be necessary.” They are also “in close contact with the motorcyclist, and are doing their best to make sure he is not uncomfortable during his treatment.”

JYP Entertainment apologizes for 2PM member Nichkhun’s recent accident

JYP Entertainment just released this statement to allthatkpops, in regards to 2PM member Nichkhun‘s recent car accident.

“This is JYP Entertainment. Around 2:30AM this morning, Nichkhun who is an artist under our agency had attended a dinner with the entire JYP family present, following a rehearsal for a JYP performance. After having about two glasses of beer, Nichkhun was driving back to his dorm which is located on the same block as the location the dinner took place. On the way, Nichkhun was involved in an accident with a motorcycle at an intersection in the neighborhood.”

They continued, “His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, and his license has been suspended. Nichkhun himself and our company are well aware that we were careless, and for this we would like to apologize. Furthermore, we will earnestly oblige to any follow-up investigations that may be necessary. Once again, we would like to sincerely apologize.”

2PM’s Nichkhun involved in a minor car accident while driving under the influence

2PM‘s Nichkhun has been allegedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

On July 24th at 3:30AM, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident while driving in Gangnam. The singer was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended a motorcycle.

His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, a percentage where he will be subjected to his license becoming suspended.

An official from Gangnam’s police station informed Dispatch over the telephone July 24th, “After measuring his alcohol content at the site [of the incident], it was concluded that [Nichkhun] was not severely intoxicated. Immediately after the accident, [Nichkhun] and the victim were investigated by the police.”

No one was injured at the scene, and there was no serious damage to either vehicle. The police station official continued, “It was a small accident and neither Nichkhun nor the victim were injured. Both vehicles were insured, and Nichkhun has taken measures to safely return home following his investigation.”

2PM’s Nichkhun wishes his sister a happy birthday

2PM‘s Nichkhun recently revealed a family photo, while wishing his sister a Happy Birthday.

Nickhun posted the photo on his Twitter with the comment, “Happy Birthday my lovely sister~ July 22nd.” In the photo are Nichkhun, his mother, older brother Nichchan, and younger sister Yanin.

Nichchan is currently an actor in Thailand, while Yanin also made her debut as a supermodel in Thailand as well.

2PM’s Wooyoung discusses who has the best body in 2PM

Hard work doesn’t lie! 2PM may have always held title of the idol group with the best bodies, but this is because 2PM members work hard and compete against themselves to maintain their bodies.

In Korea, the best indicator of the hottest male entertainers is the cover of Men’s Health magazine: 2PM members Wooyoung, Nichkhun, Chansung, and Taecyeon have all been featured as cover models in the past. This year, Wooyoung beat out other stars like Lee Joon, Dongjun, baseball players Choo Shin Soo and Lee Seung Yeob, Taecyeon, comedian Yoon Hyung Bin, and even actor Cha Seung Won, in the 7th Men’s Health Cool Guy competition, and was featured in the July edition of the magazine.

Even with his new title, Wooyoung selected Nichkhun as the member with the best body in 2PM, as he said, “Nichkhun has experience with Muay Thai (a Thai combat sport). He has muscles that you can’t make from just working out. Chansung works the hardest for his body. Among 2PM members, Chansung exercises the most.” He also said that Junsu focuses more on being well-balanced and healthy, rather than only working out.

Wooyoung continued, “Members watch their diets carefully for about 2 weeks, before a photo shoot. If we eat the way we regularly do, it breaks the balance in our bodies and makes it harder to create a nice shape. We watch our diets for 2-3 weeks when we need to.”

This month, Wooyoung has been promoting his new solo album, ‘23, Male, Single‘ with his title song, ‘Sexy Lady‘.
