JYPE releases rehearsal photos of the Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, & JJ Project for upcoming ‘JYP Nation’ concert

There are just two days to go until the JYP Nation concert kicks off, and its artists are busy at work in the rehearsal room completing their finishing touches.

JYP Entertainment shared a slew of behind-the-scenes photos of the artists hard at work with allthatkpops to give fans a glimpse into the family-like atmosphere. Included are cuts of the members working together for their collaboration stages, such as Sohee playing around with Junsu, and Junho and Seulong taking a break in a corner of the room together.

Junho showed a playful side by taking a photo with Sun‘s puppy while J.Y. Park can be seen working on new songs at the keyboard at any spare moment. JJ Project looks as if they’re flying about the room during their rehearsal cuts with the same youthful energy they’re known for on stage.

The pictures only serve to heighten the anticipation for their upcoming concert!

JYP Entertainment expressed, “All of the JYP artists are working hard with one heart with just days left until the concert. There are a lot more of various stages planned compared to last year, so we encourage everyone to anticipate it.”

The JYP Nation concert will take place on August 4th at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

2AM’s Jo Kwon and Wonder Girls’ Sun look similar?

2AM‘s Jo Kwon shared some photos with his close friend Sun of the Wonder Girls.

On July 31st, Jo Kwon attached the above photo and wrote, “My friend, we’re starting to look alike as time passes by. P.S give Kumong-ee some too“.

In the revealed photo, Jo Kwon and Sun can be seen placing their heads next to each other as they make adorable expressions with puckered lips. Jo Kwon also attached another picture of Sun eating her rice ball.

Followers who saw the photo commented, “They look similar,” “I guess longtime friends start to look like each other,” and “It seems like they’re in the middle of practice.”

miss A’s Min, Jia and Wonder Girls’ Yubin show off their ‘JYP Nation’ love

A selca shot of miss A members Min and Jia along with Wonder Girls member Yubin was recently uploaded online.

On July 21st, Jia took to her Twitter with above photo and added the English caption, “Yeah~~~~.”

The Wonder Girls rapper is looking beautiful with a wry smile while flashing an approving pair of thumbs up. The two miss A members, on the other hand, are seen posing with a puffy-cheek, pouty look, adding a layer of cuteness to the photo. On the bottom left corner, a ‘JYP Nation’ ribbon was pasted on as decoration, emphasizing the JYP love and bond among the three.

Netizens who have seen the picture commented, “It’s a trio of beauties,” “[This picture] confirms JYP’s close bond,” and, “This picture makes me anticipate the ‘JYP Nation’ concert in August.”

In other news, the ’2012 JYP Nation in Korea’ concert, featuring JYP artists such as the Wonder Girls, miss A, 2PM, and 2AM, will take place on August 4th at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

Wonder Girls’ Yenny makes a fierce transformation for ‘Singles’ magazine

Wonder Girls‘ Yenny who has until now displayed her bubbly, feminine personality has taken on a darker and more mysterious look for her ‘Singles‘ magazine shoot.

Different from her upright and conservative image, Yenny who donned intense smokey-eye makeup looked fierce and confident as she unleashed the femme fatale within.

Her ensemble for the photo shoot required her to bare more skin than she is used to, but thanks to her model-like figure, Yenny was able to pull off the shoot with ease.

Through her sit-down interview with Singles mag, Yenny shared her personal story as an individual musician, and not an idol group member. The 22-year-old also opened up about how she recently moved in with fellow member Yubin.

Wonder Girls receiving much love on American music sites for “LIKE MONEY”

The Wonder Girls‘ new song “LIKE MONEY” (ft. Akon) is receiving hot responses from various American music sites. With the song’s release, it received much attention from not only Billboard, MTV and other media companies but also on various online music communities.

JYP Entertainment also told us that on the websites of popular radio stations, like New York’s ‘Z100′ and ‘Hot97′, there were comments such as, ‘When will we get to hear the Wonder Girls’ new song on the radio?”, “‘LIKE MONEY’ is the song of the summer“, and “I’ll be cheering on the Wonder Girls’ return to the American music market” were posted in support of the girl group.

In related news,  the Wonder Girls performed alongside Akon at the second ‘Green Groove Frestival‘ held at the Daecheon beach. The girl group performed their songs, ‘Like This‘, ‘Be My Baby‘, ‘Nobody‘ and a rock version of ‘So Hot‘, while Akon performed his hit songs such as ‘Lonely‘, ‘Angel‘, and ‘Right Now (Na Na Na)‘. After their individual performances, they successfully performed ‘LIKE MONEY’ together in front of 40,000 audience members.

According to a JYPE representative, “LIKE MONEY (Feat. Akon) is receiving much love in America. Please continue cheering on the Wonder Girls who will work even harder in the United States, Japan and for the world.”

Wonder Girls snap a fun photo backstage with Akon

The Wonder Girls have revealed a new group photo taken with their latest collaboration artist, hip hop and R&B musician Akon!

On July 22nd, Sohee shared on her Twitter, “with Akon. Sorry, Sunye unni. Kiki.”

The group decided to use a choreography point from their collaboration track, “Like Money“. Unfortunately for Sunye, it seems she lost the timing for the photo and is seen staring at the floor while everyone else stares brightly at the camera.

Netizens commented, “What’s Sunye doing by herself?”, “Sunye’s so cute with the mistiming”, “The Wonder Girls are now world stars!”, and “Akon has such a fatherly smile”.

The Wonder Girls and Akon recently performed at the ‘Green Groove Festival 2012‘. Akon will be joining the girls on their upcoming American promotions.

Netizens compare girl group graduation pictures

A collection of girl group pictures, titled, “The high school graduation pictures of girl idols“, has become a hot topic online.

The collection, shown above, compares the members of various girl groups, normally praised for their “goddess”-like looks, to the looks they sported during their high school, predebut days. A variety of members were included in the list, from top tier, senior groups such as Wonder Girls, 2NE1, T-ara, f(x), SISTAR, After School, and SECRET, to groups still getting there, such as Dal Shabet, Hello Venus, EXID, and A Pink.

Despite the fact that many of these graduation pictures have already been previously revealed, netizens were intrigued upon seeing them all together, commenting, “It looks like there are [some] ordinary-looking performers,” “[Even after seeing their predebut pictures, I think that] there are still a lot of pretty people [who became idols],” “Suzy, Sulli, and Jiyeon are pretty,” “Sulli is the real deal,” and, “I wonder who has become the prettiest [since  their predebut days].”

Big Bang grabs 4 spots on Youtube’s Top 10 most viewed KPOP music videos in 2012

On the 16th, Youtube released a Top 10 list of the most viewed KPOP MV’s around the world so far in 2012.

Big Bang took 4 out of the 10 spots on this years most viewed music videos list, including the first two spots with “Fantastic Baby” and “Blue“, showing their immense popularity worldwide.

Other artists that made the Top 10 include, TaeTiSeo, f(x), SISTAR, SHINee, Wonder Girls and 4Minute. Check out the full list below and congrats to the artists that made it to the Top 10!

&#8217;2012 JYP Nation in Korea&#8217; to be held on August 4th

The Wonder Girls mentioned the upcoming JYP Nation concert at their recent ‘Wonder World Tour in Seoul‘ concert last weekend, and now the JYP Entertainment‘s upcoming family concert in Seoul has been confirmed for the date of August 4th.

Earlier today, online ticketing website Interpark revealed the ticket opening release date for the ‘2012 JYP Nation in Korea‘ concert. According to the announcement, JYP Entertainment artists including J.Y. Park, Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, JOO, miss A, San E and JJ Project will be in the concert’s lineup.

The ’2012 JYP Nation in Korea’ concert will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 6PM at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul. Tickets go on sale on Monday, July 16th at 7PM. Ticket prices are yet to be determined.
