B2ST’s Doojoon selected as the most ideal idol manager

B2ST leader Yoon Doojoon has been acknowledged for his considerate personality.

During a recent shoot for the upcoming September 5th broadcast of MBC MUSIC‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, the idols were asked to select a fellow idol member they would like to have as a manager, and the top 7 names were revealed.

Among the names were Big Bang‘s G-Dragon who has an eye for talent, SHINee‘s Onew who takes care of his members more than his own self, and 2AM‘s Changmin who personally cooks for his group the way a mother would.

However, B2ST’s Doojoon triumphed all these candidates and boldly claimed the #1 spot. The idols who voted for him explained that he pays attention to even the smallest concerns of his fellow members, and therefore was selected as the most ideal idol manager. B.A.P‘s Bang Yong Guk who voted for Doojoon added, “He seems like he has a lot of stamina, and appears thoughtful and attentive, as well as understanding.”

SHINee’s Minho is becoming like his ‘To the Beautiful You’ character?

SHINee‘s Minho revealed that his abrasive on-screen personality is transforming his actual personality.

At the press conference for SBS‘ ‘To the Beautiful You‘ held on the 13th, Minho revealed, “Because my character’s personality is rough around the edges, my actual personality has changed. I noticed I’ve been treating Sulli more roughly without knowing it.”

He continued, “Of course, there have been funny situations. Although it was difficult in the beginning because I have no acting experience, now I work well with not only Sulli, but with the other actors. Because we’re all in the same age group and get along on set, the director says, ‘It’s good to see’.”

The drama is drawing much attention for its cast, which was chosen by ‘Boys Over Flowers‘ director Chun Ki Sang. The main characters include Goo Jaehee (Sulli) who transforms into a boy and transfers to an all-boys athletics high school to meet high jump athlete Kang Taejun (Minho), who she adores.

Kang Taejun is an athlete who holds the world record for the Junior World record in high jump. With his good looks and athletic abilities, Taejun is no doubt popular with the ladies, but because of his painful past, he is quiet and keeps to himself most of the time. However, after meeting Jaehee, he begins to change little by little.

5 Do’s in K-Pop

Trends in the radical world of  K-pop change from day to day. Some we hate, but some we absolutely love and want more of. Check out some of the 5 Do’s in K-pop!

01. Two-tone (ombre) hair

I’m not too sure who started this trend but I think it was either SHINee or f(x). Either way, the ‘ombre’ hairstyle is still pretty cool. But to try it out in the real world, I’d say it’s a bit risky.

02. Airport Fashion

Airport fashion is where the carefully crafted image of idols/celebrities can make or break. You can see the “truth” behind idols and their fashion. Although there are times when outfits are hand-picked by professionals, we’d like to believe that these are “casual” outfits of our idols.

03. Fan Service

Even with their busy schedules, our idols never fails to find time to appreciate their fans with a simple wave. And many times, that is the only thing we need!

04. Sexy Concepts

The sexy concept never gets old, and never fails, period.

05. Variety Shows

We love watching our favorite idols on variety shows. We also love them when they supposedly “ruin” their images! It’s the best way to get to know your artists on a more personal level.

Tell us some of the K-pop trends you love in the comments section below!

An internet cafe caught red-handed for selling idol stars’ personal info

A cafe within an internet portal site has come under fire for buying and selling the cell phone numbers, social security numbers, and Kakao Talk IDs of idols such as TVXQ, JYJ, and SHINee. In addition, buyers were even able to attain the phone numbers of the artists’ managers or close acquaintances through the website.

Exact prices were not specified, but it is said that the price of each piece of information differed greatly depending on the idol group.

As controversy over the site began to grow, access to the cafe was finally blocked.

Netizens who came across the shocking news stated, “It’s a pity their personal information is leaked just because they are celebrities. Although they are public figures, I think we should protect their privacy”, “Buying another copy of their album would be much more helpful to the artist than buying their social security number”, and “That’s crossing the line of fandom and approaching criminal offense. I hope they realize that sometimes less is more and that their actions can actually be a disservice to the idols they admire”.

The two were jokingly messing around on the stage until Taemin decided to surprise the crowd by passing along a paper bill, by mouth, to Minho.

SHINee talks about sharing concert dates with MBLAQ

At the July 22nd press conference for their concert, ‘SHINee WORLD II‘, SHINee explained that they had wanted to attend fellow boy group MBLAQ‘s concert.

During the press conference, a reporter asked, “MBLAQ is currently holding a concert at the same time as you are. Do you feel like they are your rivals in any way?” to which SHINee responded, “We’re very close to the MBLAQ members. We have actually been talking a lot about their concert.”

They continued, “We invited MBLAQ to our concert, and in return, they invited us to their own. But we discovered that it was being held at the same time as ours, so we were really disappointed.”

Member Jonghyun added, “That’s why we joked amongst ourselves that we should end our concert quickly and go see the MBLAQ concert,” showing just how close the two groups are.

SHINee, currently wrapping up their Seoul concert, will head to Taipei, Singapore, and major cities in Asia to continue their tour.
