f(x)’s Sulli shares a couple of ‘handsome’ photos with fans

f(x)‘s Sulli is gathering more female fans with her recent boyish transformation.

On September 4th, the idol star shared a couple of photos on me2day along with the messages: “It’s raining~ Be careful of slipping!” and “Goo Jae Hee, enter a handsome man!”

Upon seeing the photos, fans commented, “You’re too cute,” “Totally handsome! But you’re still an unni,” and “Yes, you be careful too.”

Sulli is currently playing the character of Goo Jae Hee, who attends an all-boys high school, in the SBS drama ‘To the Beautiful You‘.

SHINee’s Minho snaps a handsome selca in his school uniform

SHINee‘s Minho shared his excitement for his new drama along with a handsome selca of himself recently.

The idol uploaded the picture on the group’s me2day account while saying, “It’s finally my first step. I’m nervous but excited. From today, I’m Kang Taejun“, referring to the character he plays in the new drama, ‘To the Beautiful You‘.

In the picture, Minho is wearing a school uniform, which further accentuates his defined facial features and his fresh hair cut. Fans were left in awe by the singer and actor’s good looks, and responded, “Minho’s facial features make girls feel jealous“, “Oppa’s shining looks“, and “He’ll make the girls at school cry“.

As mentioned previously, Minho plays a high-jump athlete and co-stars with label-mate f(x)‘s Sulli in the drama, which will be airing its first episode later today (August 15th KST)!

SHINee’s Minho is becoming like his ‘To the Beautiful You’ character?

SHINee‘s Minho revealed that his abrasive on-screen personality is transforming his actual personality.

At the press conference for SBS‘ ‘To the Beautiful You‘ held on the 13th, Minho revealed, “Because my character’s personality is rough around the edges, my actual personality has changed. I noticed I’ve been treating Sulli more roughly without knowing it.”

He continued, “Of course, there have been funny situations. Although it was difficult in the beginning because I have no acting experience, now I work well with not only Sulli, but with the other actors. Because we’re all in the same age group and get along on set, the director says, ‘It’s good to see’.”

The drama is drawing much attention for its cast, which was chosen by ‘Boys Over Flowers‘ director Chun Ki Sang. The main characters include Goo Jaehee (Sulli) who transforms into a boy and transfers to an all-boys athletics high school to meet high jump athlete Kang Taejun (Minho), who she adores.

Kang Taejun is an athlete who holds the world record for the Junior World record in high jump. With his good looks and athletic abilities, Taejun is no doubt popular with the ladies, but because of his painful past, he is quiet and keeps to himself most of the time. However, after meeting Jaehee, he begins to change little by little.

‘To the Beautiful You’ releases new group posters

SBS‘s upcoming drama ‘To the Beautiful You‘ has released a new set of posters featuring the cast!

The first poster features the leading cast members with Sulli at the front, and Minho, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Ji Won, Seo Jun Young, Kang Ha Neul, and Kwanghee sitting around her at a picnic table with a beautiful ocean view in the backdrop. The poster is actually a depiction of the group’s resort vacation in episodes three and four.

Also of interest is the group’s vacation styling, as they’re all dressed in fresh summer looks with preppy pieces like cardigans and checkered shirts. The second group poster shows the entire cast of students including members of EXO dressed for physical education.

Producers stated, “We worked with a lot of different concepts to create a poster that would aptly show the colors of the characters, their relationships, and the drama itself. We’ll be releasing individual posters of the leading cast.”

Which girl group idols speak in dialects the most?

A recent online community board post titled, “Girl group speaking in dialect” has been receiving attention.

The post ranked current girl group idols based on how much they spoke in a nonstandard, regional accent. The top level included After School‘s Lizzy,  A Pink‘s Eunji, and Dal Shabet‘s Subin.

The author wrote about Lizzy, “Gets loved for speaking in dialect on talk shows. Captured all the male fans with her aegyo-filled dialect.” For Eunji, the author wrote, “Currently rising star in dialect,” and for Subin: “Urban visual, but mouth is country.”

The middle level consisted of f(x)‘s Sulli and SECRET‘s Sunhwa. The author explained for Sulli, “Occasionally speaks in dialect for TV. Intelligent for knowing how to use the male hearts that go crazy for dialect,” and for Sunhwa: “Dialect pops up during conversations or when she gets flustered.”

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and T-ara‘s Hyomin were placed in the lower level because they are both from provinces that use a nonstandard accent, but they rarely speak in dialect.

After viewing the post, netizens commented, “Lizzy is the most charming,” “Who’s the girl with Gangnam style visuals and speaks in dialect,” and “Dialect equals Lizzy, Subin, and Eunji.”

Suzy and Sulli turn into cats with trendy new sunglasses

miss A‘s Suzy and f(x)‘s Sulli recently transformed into cute cats with their trendy sunglasses!

Suzy showed off her sunglasses on the set of KBS‘s drama ‘Big‘, as she is currently playing the role of ‘Jang Mari’. In the scene pictured above, she changes into a cute stalker, stealing the hearts of many male fans with the ‘cat’s eye’ look. Recently, she’s been acting as a paparazzi in ‘Big’, giving viewers lots of laughs with her token scarf and ‘cat’s eye’ sunglasses. The leopard pattern on the sunglasses accentuates the cute and charming character that Suzy portrays!

Sulli donned similar sunglasses for f(x)’s ‘Electric Shock‘ teaser photos, matching her chic style and bringing out a glamorous look to her outfit. The sunglasses add a great vibe to the energetic and rhythmical ‘Electric Shock’.

The fashionable accessory that brings out the ‘cat’s eye’ look in both girls was created by designer Anna Karin Karlsson, who had been looking for similar glasses herself. When she was unable to find what she was looking for, she decided to design them on her own.

Vogue Girl releases ‘couple shots’ of Sulli and Minho

Recently chosen to play lead roles in SBS‘ upcoming drama ‘To The Beautiful You‘, f(x)‘s Sulli and SHINee‘s Minho participated in a ‘couple photo shoot’ for ‘Vogue Girl‘ magazine.

Sulli recently chopped off her long locks in order to play a female student disguised as a male in the drama, and the singer gave off the feel of a reserved and handsome lad as she displayed her boyish charm for this shoot.

‘To the Beautiful You’ is based off the original best-selling Japanese comic ‘Hana Kimi‘, and it has already been turned into a successful drama in Japan.

During an interview that took place at the shoot, Sulli commented, “I felt a huge burden when I first received this role ,but I felt like it was a role that I could pull off really well.”

Minho then added, “I want to show the viewers my own unique character that’s different from what Oguri Shun displayed in the Japanese version of the drama.”

On an online community board, a few photos were uploaded showing the two leads filming for the drama, gaining much interest from fans as it shows a better look at Sulli’s transformation into a girl disguised as a boy, and Minho in a school uniform!

The much anticipated drama will be airing its first episode in August.

&#8216;To the Beautiful You&#8217; releases photos from the first script reading

With anticipation rising for the drama, ‘To the Beautiful You‘ has unveiled a set of photos from their first script reading.

The reading took place back on July 7th at the SBS Ilsan Production Center and in attendance were Sulli, Minho, Lee Hyun woo, Kim Ji Won, Ki Tae Young, Lee Young Eun, Kang Kyung Jun, Seo Jun Young, Kwanghee, Kang Ha Neul, Lee Han Wee, Lee Ah Hyun, and Ahn Hye Kyung.

On this day, Sulli is said to have spoken in a lower tone to better fit the role of a girl who disguises herself as a guy, while Minho showed his hard working attitude as he concentrated on every word that the director and writer mentioned.

Lee Han Wee and Lee Ah Hyun showcased their leadership as they lead the hoobae actors throughout the reading, while also livening up the atmosphere.

A representative from the drama team stated, “The cast of ‘To the Beautiful You’ is already working hard by coming together to produce a perfect drama… We believe that a great project can be produced through the meeting of the passion and intensity of the young actors and the experience of the older actors.”

The pilot episode will air in August.
