Jun Ji Hyun got extremely famous not only in Korea but other Asia countries and cities with the role as the sassy girl in the movie, "My Sassy Girl". Therefore, her rude and lousy image has established through that movie. The actress got married last year, and before her marriage, she took a role as a thief in the new movie "The Thieves"; Jun Ji Hyun surprised the public with an unprecedented sexy performance in this movie. She took the role as Anycall, a professional thief who specialized in using wire. There are scenes of her wearing tight corset using wire to travel up and down through different buildings; there are also other scenes of her wearing revealing outfits, short skirts, low cut tube tops showing off her well-proportioned figure and slender legs.
In the movie, other than these dare bare revealing outfits, there are scenes of her seducing the leader of the thieves that played by Kim Yoon Suk in exchange for intelligence and information of the diamond. In addition, Jun Ji Hyun even had her first kissing scene on screen with Kim Soo Hyun; with so many new attempts in this movie, the role Anycall is said to be her most daring, and the sexiest role that she has taken on since her debut.
It is one of the most anticipating movies for this summer, soon after its release on July 25th, with 436,628 tickets sold on the day of its release; The Thieves recorded the second highest single day opening of all time in Korea after “The Host” in 2006. On its sixth day of release, it broke the 3 million mark in audience number, drawing 3.35 million viewers.
“The Thieves” starring many famous Korean and Hong Kong movie stars such as Kim Yoon Suk, Jun Ji Hyun, Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Hye Soo Kim Hae Soo, Oh Da Soo, Simon Yam, Derek Tseng, and Angelica Lee, directed by Choi Dong Hun. It is an action movie about a gang of thieves got together and plots a steal of a priceless diamond, “Tear of the Sun” that was kept safely away in a casino in Macau.
The movie is set to premiere on September 6 in Hong King.
