SM Town tour draws 100,000 in Tokyo

Following concerts in the United States and Taiwan, SM Entertainment artists performed last Sunday in the Tokyo Dome.

“SM Town Live World Tour III” brought in Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, f(x) and the agency’s other singers, attracting 100,000 fans to the two-day concert.

The SM Town concert also included performances by subgroups including TaeTiSeo and Dana & Sunday.

In addition, SM artists collaborated with members of other bands, and there were a total of 52 songs performed over the two days. Japanese fans cheered their favorite artists and sang along to the Korean songs.

This is the second time that SM Entertainment held a joint concert at the Tokyo Dome. Last September, the first joint concert drew 150,000 fans.

“SM Town Live Tour III” will make its fourth stop on Aug. 18 at Olympic Stadium in southern Seoul.

Meanwhile, the Girls’ Generation fan club celebrated its fifth anniversary last Sunday by participating in a development project for Cambodia.
