ZE:A’s Siwan looks dandy in tailored suits for ‘GEEK’ magazine

Member Lim Siwan of idol group ZE:A has transformed from a young boy into a mature adult.

The singer/actor recently participated in a photo shoot with fashion style magazine ‘Geek‘ and pulled off the look of sophistication while wearing a variety of tailored suits.

His youthful image was nowhere to be seen throughout the shoot, and Siwan who looked like a professional model gave off a more modern and grown up look with his charismatic poses.

An insider from the photo shoot remarked, “We didn’t know Siwan would look so good in suits. We were surprised at how each design fit him so well.”

ZE:A’s Siwan responds to Kim Hee Sun’s video message

ZE:A member Siwan expressed his gratitude towards veteran actress Kim Hee Sun.

Kim Hee Sun along with her fellow cast members of new SBS fantasy drama ‘Faith‘ were interviewed on a recent broadcast of ‘One Night Of TV Entertainment‘.

It was here that Kim Hee Sun had selected Siwan as the idol member that most caught her attention as of late, and sent him a short video message.

As his way of responding, Siwan turned to his Twitter page and wrote, “Senior Kim Hee Sun~ I saw the broadcast today!! I am so honored that you even know who I am.”

Trying hard to express how much of a fan he was, Siwan continued, “I more than just like you, I have a deep affection for you! It must be hard to film in this hot weather, but be strong, and if ever given the opportunity, I would love to meet you one day.”

Siwan’s representatives had also stated, “At the time the broadcast was aired, Siwan was filming his sitcom, and he was re-energized after hearing the news. Telling her he had ‘deep affection’ for her, was his own way of expressing that he had deep love and respect for her.”

Meanwhile, Siwan and the rest of ZE:A wrapped up promotions for their formal second album ‘Spectacular‘ with a final music program stage this week, and will follow up with new single album ‘Phoenix‘ August 27th.

ZE:A and BIG STAR take a backstage photo together

Boy group ZE:A and rookie group BIG STAR showed off their brotherly relationship with a picture, taken backstage and uploaded through ZE:A’s official Twitter.

The tweet accompanying the image read, “The entertainment world’s hot BOY! The similarity between these two groups are … bingo! Brave Brothers! Please look forward to our amazing achievements~^^”.

The two groups are seen showing off their camaraderie, with both groups looking fresh in their stage outfits.

ZE:A to watch ‘Step Up 4: Revolution’ with 200 of their fans

Star Empire Entertainment revealed on August 7 KST that 200 lucky ZE:A fans will be able to watch the movie ‘Step Up 4: Revolution‘ with the group members!

According to the agency, ZE:A was voted first (41%), beating B.A.P, B1A4, and Boyfriend, in a ‘Yes24′ questionnaire that asked: “Which group do you most want to see doing ‘Flashmobs’ in Korea like ‘MOB’ from ‘Step Up 4: Revolution’?”. Thanks to this survey, ZE:A was selected as the endorsement models of the movie.

ZE:A will be holding a free movie preview at CGV on the 9th, a week before the premiere on the 15th, with 200 fans who will be selected through an event held on the fansite (www.ze-a.com) and www.maxmovie.com.

A Creative Communications SKY official stated, “The group members’ engagement in dramas and variety shows, and singing are what make them similar to ’MOB’, which is why they were selected as the promoters.”

ZE:A has previously held an event for their fans, sitting alongside them while watching ‘Don’t Click‘.

ZE:A’s Kwanghee appointed as special MC for ‘M! Countdown’

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee will be standing in as a special MC for Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.

A representative of  ZE:A’s agency, Star Empire, stated on the 25th, “Following Siwan, Kwanghee has been appointed as a special MC for ‘M! Countdown’.”

“Perhaps due to the popularity of ‘Aftermath‘, we’re extremely thankful as the members have been continuously receiving love calls for variety programs. Kwanghee has good variety show and hosting skills, so we believe he’ll do well.”

The ‘M! Countdown’ episode featuring Kwanghee will air on July 26th at 6:00PM (KST).

In related news, Kwanghee made a surprise cameo appearance on the July 25th episode of MBC‘s daily sitcom, ‘Standby‘.

ZE:A’s Junyoung expresses his anger about child sex offenders

ZE:A‘s Junyoung expressed his anger towards child sex offenders via Twitter.

On the 23rd, Junyoung tweeted, “These days, child sex offenses are big on the news. Since the weather is getting hot, it seems like there are a lot of men who have lost their minds. Why they would do such a thing, I’m getting so angry. The anger of the victims’ parents probably cannot be expressed in words. If the offenders were in the parents’ position, would they still be able to do something like that? Ah~.”

Junyoung also expressed his worry for the victims of child abuse by adding, “Those sex offenders.. if I meet them on the streets or somewhere, I want to trouble them to make them think about what they did. No, my anger won’t subside no matter what I do right? If I was in the parents’ shoes, I wouldn’t be able to forgive them. For an app that informs users about sex offenders to be released, there must be that many crimes. How can they be forgiven.”

After reading Junyoung’s tweets, netizens responded, “I can feel the anger from your words. I’m angry as well,” “If we meet them in the streets, let’s trouble them together. Men who have really lost their minds,” and “It’d be nice if all men in the world shared the same thoughts as you, Junyoung.”

SISTAR’s Bora to show archery skills on upcoming ‘Idol Star Olympics’ on MBC

SISTAR‘s Bora will showcase her archery skills on the upcoming MBC special, ’Idol Star Olympics‘.

The filming on the 15th covered track and field, fencing, table tennis, and archery events in celebration of the 2012 London Olympics.

It’s been reported that the idol stars practiced for their individual events during their spare time, and that some got serious about the competition.

Among the idols who participated, SISTAR’s Bora and ZE:A‘s Dongjun showed outstanding performance in archery with their good posture and skill that had them shooting perfectly in the gold zone.

MBC’s ‘Idol Star Olympics’ will air on the 25th and 26th at 9:55 pm KST.

Idol members request gifts from MC Yoo Jae Suk on ‘Running Man’

The ‘nation’s MC’ Yoo Jae Suk has once again experienced a mental breakdown upon hearing idol members’ demands for lavish gifts.

The July 22nd broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘ aired a 2012 Olympic special and consisted of idol members competing against the fixed cast members in various games of athletics.

Towards the end of the ‘hide-and-seek’ race, HaHa put Yoo Jae Suk on the spot as he remarked, “[Jae Suk hyung] is really good at buying things for people,” and joked, “He bought IU a car.” On a previous episode of ‘Running Man’, Yoo Jae Suk was put under a sticky situation of possibly having to buy IU a brand new car as a late birthday present.

Upon hearing HaHa’s joke, the idol members were surprised and asked if it was true. Taken aback, Yoo Jae Suk immediately tried to explain himself by saying, “I didn’t buy her…” but was unable to finish his sentence, as it was already too late.

CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa put in his request to the MC saying, “We’ll be moving to our new dorm soon, so could you buy us a new refrigerator?” Following his lead, MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon also pitched in, “I live with my parents, but there hasn’t been any air conditioning in our house for the past 10 years. Please buy us an air conditioning system.”

ZE:A‘s Lim Siwan added to the list, “Our dorm is too small for all of us to live in…” and to this, the Running Man members added, “Oh so you need a house.” And unable to miss this golden opportunity, T-ara‘s Eunjung remarked, “I have been feeling exhausted lately. I think I need a massage chair.”

In the end, Yoo Jae Suk faced Lee Kwang Soo and desperately asked, “Please lend me 200 million won (~$175,000 USD),” causing everyone to burst into laughter.

ZE:A’s Kwanghee to make a cameo in ‘Standby’

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee will be making a cameo appearance as the younger brother of Ha Suk Jin on MBC‘s daily sitcom, ‘Standby‘.

Kwanghee’s cameo will be on the 76th episode broadcasting on July 24th. He’ll be playing the role of the smart younger brother of Ha Suk Jin, who currently attends a private high school in the States. After hearing that Lee Ki Woo was Ha Suk Jin’s rival in a love triangle, Kwanghee heads in to take his revenge on Lee Ki Woo.

On the 77th episode, Kwanghee falls in love upon first sight with Somin right before he’s getting ready to head back to his home in the States. Siwan, who has a longstanding crush on Somin, doesn’t like seeing Kwanghee get in the way and so he confesses to Kwanghee what his feelings for Somin are. Jealous at how handsome Siwan is, Kwanghee begins to consider Siwan his rival.

Kwanghee was revealed to have readily accepted the cameo offer to show loyalty to his fellow member and cast Siwan. Representatives stated, “Like the image he’s known for, he filmed happily throughout the entire shoot.”

T-ara’s Eunjung spotted on the set of a recent ‘Running Man’ shoot

T-ara‘s Eunjung has been spotted filming for an upcoming episode of SBS ‘Running Man‘!

Various online portal sites posted the photos above, where the singer is sporting athletic gear, filming alongside other idols such as Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, ZE:A‘s Siwan, B2ST‘s Doojoon, and more.

It looked as though there would be some competition between the guests and the fixed ‘Running Man’ cast members, as the idols were dressed in blue sweatsuits while Song Ji Hyo, Ji Suk Jin, HaHa and others were snapped dressed in black and white.

This particular ‘Running Man’ shoot was for the upcoming ’2012 London Olympics’ special of the program, and also participating in the shoot were CNBLUE‘s Yonghwa, and MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon.

The episode airs on July 22nd at 6PM!

ZE:A’s Hyungsik clears the air about his wealthy background

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee previously revealed that fellow member Hyungsik came from a wealthy background on the July 18th episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘.

After his statement made headlines and earned the attention of netizens, Hyungsik wanted to clear the air while backstage at Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.

On people finding out that his father is an executive at a foreign car company ‘B’, “I was actually kind of surprised at how much attention this received. People started calling me ‘chaebol’ (conglomerate) and such, but my family is not wealthy to that point.”

When asked how he felt about Kwanghee saying that he’s not concerned about fame because of his wealthy background, he replied with a smile, “I’m in this career because I have big dreams and passions as a singer. I also have a lot of interest in expanding into dramas and musicals.”

He continued, “I’ve never once received an allowance since I debuted as a singer under ZE:A. There were some hardships during the beginning stages of our debut, but I was more determined to make it on my own.”
