Fans also couldn’t help but notice his sharp facial features and muscular build as well.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong has currently been at the center of the Hallyu wave in Japan with the release of his latest Japanese album, ‘Heat‘.

Kim Hyun Joong’s ‘HEAT’ becomes best-selling K-pop album of 2012 in Japan

Kim Hyun Joong‘s second Japanese single album ‘HEAT‘ has sold over 200,000 copies.

According to the Oricon chart, ‘HEAT’, which was released back in July, is the best-selling K-pop album of 2012 in Japan thus far with 20,580 copies sold.

An insider commented, “In the competitive Japanese album market, [Kim Hyun Joong has topped the list of K-pop music acts]. He’s currently surprising the album producers and staff with his ongoing record.”

In related news, Kim Hyung Joong departed for Japan this past July to work on the live-action version of the manga ‘City Conquest‘.

Kim Hyun Joong wraps up overseas activities and focuses on ‘City Conquest’

Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong has wrapped up his activities overseas.

Kim Hyun Joong who is becoming increasingly more popular across Asia has wrapped up his 7 months of promoting overseas with a final stage in Japan on August 10th.

Launching his ‘Kim Hyun Joong Fan Meeting Tour 2012′ this past May, the singer traveled to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and more to create unforgettable memories with his fans.

It’s definitely been a fruitful year, as the singer’s second single album “Heat” released in July hit the #1 spot on the Oricon Chart, has been certified Gold by the Record Industry Association of Japan, and became the #1 most downloaded MP3 on Amazon Japan.

The singer who continues to prove his status as a leading Hallyu star will now be focusing on his new drama ‘City Conquest‘ for the rest of the year.

Kim Hyun Joong gets down and dirty for his role in ‘City Conquest’

A new still cut straight from the set of Kim Hyun Joong‘s upcoming drama, ‘City Conquest‘, has left netizens impressed with his charismatic transformation!

Covered in just enough dirt to leave his handsome features in full view, Kim Hyun Joong is seen pinning an enemy to the ground using his entire body. The picture not only demonstrates the level of action required of him in the drama, but also his determination to perfect his role, which staff noticed and sent applause his way for being willing to get down and dirty to complete the scene.

Kim Hyun Joong has been attending action school to better prepare himself for his role as ‘Baek Mir’. This combined with intense training and dieting has reportedly lowered his body fat percentage to 7%.

Netizens commented, “How can he be this handsome and amazing during an action scene!”, and “I want to see all of these scenes in the drama!”

After pulling off yet another successful night of performances for the ‘Double Fantasista‘ concert this past Saturday in Japan’s Saitama Arena, Kim Hyun Joong seems to have received much love from not only fans but celebrities as well.

Recent backstage photos have revealed that singers & actors from Japan, Korea and the States sent the singer-actor their greetings with impressive bouquets of flowers. The gift-givers included worldwide sensation Justin Bieber, jewelry designer Justin Davis, Japanese actor Shun Oguri as well as Korean actors Bae Yong Joon, Kim Soo Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon.

Among the celebrity gifts, Henecia Japan, Kim Hyun Joong’s Japanese fan club, also gifted their idol with a bouquet of flowers, shown below:

Lee Hyori, Won Bin and other top celebrities gift lavish real estate to their family members

Singer Lee Hyori has been selected as the celebrity who has presented her family with the most generous gift.

A recent tvN entertainment program which aired on July 13th reviewed some of today’s top celebrities who gifted their family members with impressive gifts of real estate.

In first place was singer Lee Hyori who purchased her parents with a home worth $870,000, as well as purchasing a building for her first aunt.

Actor Won Bin was right behind Hyori, as he gifted the home he received from the ‘Korean Architecture Award‘ (seen above) to his parents. Actress Song Hye Kyo who purchased a 5,000 sq foot home for her own parents came in at 3rd.

It was also revealed that Kim Hyun Joong gifted his parents with a chicken eatery and a $783,000 home. While Manchester United Soccer Star Park Ji Sung purchased a $3.1 million home.

Also on the list were Actress Soo Ae, Super Junior‘s Yesung, JYJ‘s Park Yoochun, miss A‘s Suzy, and Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon.
