Parody of Jaejoong in the Olympic games draws laughter

A parody of the Olympics Sports Pictogram featuring Kim Jaejoong‘s ‘Dr. Jin‘ character was recently posted on an online community site, drawing laughter among the netizens.

In MBC‘s weekend drama ‘Dr. Jin’, Jaejoong plays the role of the intelligent Kim Kyungtak who is prominent in martial arts. Though he is the youngest son of first vice-premier of the the country, his status as an illegitimate son born out of wedlock troubles him. But even in his hardships, Kim Kyungtak’s persistence and refusal to give up captures the viewer’s hearts.

The flawless marksmanship, horseback riding skills, and keen reasoning of Jaejoong’s character have been hilariously portrayed in the Olympics parody, and netizens who came across the collage remarked, “Gold medal for his horse back riding“, “So hilarious“, and “He would be good at all the sports.”

In related news, Kim Jaejoong spent 3 hours at the Yonsei University auditorium on July 22nd, holding a ‘Dr. Jin fan meeting’ with 1500 of his Japanese fans.

MBC’s ‘Dr. Jin’ extended two episodes

MBC’s ‘Dr. Jin‘ starring Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo, and Kim Jaejoong has been extended by 2 more episodes.

A staff member at the drama said on July 12th, “We have decided to add two more episodes.  Although we started with a plan of just 20 episodes it seems that it will be hard to tie up the story so for the sake of creating a more complete story, we have decided to add the extra episodes.”  Dr. Jin is now scheduled to conclude in early August.

The actors have already shown a positive response to this idea.  Lee Bum Soo recently stated, “I hope it is 40 episodes and not 20.  It is too short for the viewers to follow the overall arc in just 20 episodes.“  Song Seung Hun said, “It is hard to show everything in just 20 episodes especially for a historical drama.”

Even after the positive response from the actors, the staff was still worried on how the viewers would take the news that the show has been extended.  ‘Dr. Jin’ began airing on May 26th alongside SBS’s ‘Gentleman’s Class‘ with the plan of ending on July 29th.  A staff member said, “With the extension of our show, some people might think that we are trying to take the place of the number one show in our time slot, ‘Gentleman’s Class.’  But we never thought about the ratings when we made this decision.”

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong offers a sneak peek into the next episodes of ‘Dr. Jin’

 

On July 10th, JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong shared the above photo from the set of Dr. Jin via his Twitter and wrote, “I think episode 15 and 16 will be fun.”

Jaejoong’s face in the photo appears to be badly bruised, making fans curious as to how the story will unfold.

“Did Kyungtak get hit by someone?” they asked, along with, “Where are you fixing your gaze?”, and “I think these episodes will be interesting.”
