Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae collaborate with Lumpens for ‘The Wanderers’ t-shirt line

Jungle Entertainment has told allthatkpops that Korean hip hop’s reigning couple, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, has collaborated with visual artist Lumpens to produce ‘The Wanderers‘ t-shirts, which have been revealed on Naver Shopping.

The three artists united under a superhero concept to create a team called the Fashion Icon Collabo. ‘The Wanderers’ line represents unexpected heros who do not fit the usual superhero mold and “wander” to help people in their own style.

The line holds greater meaning because Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae have voluntarily decided to donate a portion of their Fashion Icon Collabo profits to an association that works to prevent violence in schools through Naver‘s ‘Happy Bean‘s Happy Energy‘. The t-shirts will be available on Naver Shopping from August 30th to September 9th through exclusive pre-orders, and all pre-orders will receive a copy of the September issue of culture magazine ‘Bling‘.

‘The Wanderers’ video produced by Lumpens, starring Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, will be available exclusively on Naver Shopping. The video will tell the tale of the fictional ‘Wanderers’ who take a stand together to fight school violence.

Tiger JK reveals that Hyori once declined a song he offered her

Hip hop artist Tiger JK jokingly expressed his sadness at Hyori‘s declining of a song he once offered to her on ‘You and I‘.

Hyori revealed during the broadcast, “I had a hard time even asking Tiger JK for a song. I was worried that he wouldn’t give me a song since I wasn’t even a hip-hop artist, but he gave me one with Yoon Mi Rae singing as a guide.”

She added, “I knew I couldn’t sing this better than Yoon Mi Rae, so that’s why I declined.”

However, Tiger JK replied sadly, “My pride was hurt. I spent the whole night and woke my wife up to do the guide recording.”

The other MC, Jung Jae Hyung, then asked Tiger JK, “Weren’t you a fan of Lee Hyori,” to which the hip-hop artist answered jokingly, taking a stab at Hyori, “A long time ago.”

Tiger JK talks about his son’s rapid growth spurt

Hip-hop legend Tiger JK briefly discussed his five-year old son, Jordan, on the latest broadcast of SBS‘s ‘You & I‘.

On the July 15th episode, the rapper was asked how his son was doing, to which he replied, “He’s as big as a middle school student. He’s almost the same height as Yoon Mi Rae (Tasha),” surprising the hosts.

“Whenever he sees me on television, he immediately turns it off saying that he doesn’t want to see me on TV. I think it’s because he realizes that I’m not able to be with him due to my work.”

He then shared a bit of Jordan’s personality saying, “Jordan is egoistic so he loves being on TV and loves anything that has a picture of himself,” causing the audience to laugh.

Meanwhile, Wonder Girls‘ Yubin also participated in this episode and performed a collaboration stage performance with Tiger JK.

Tiger JK to perform with Yubin on ‘You and I’

Last month, hip-hop legend Tiger JK selected Wonder Girls‘ Yubin as the musician he’d like to work with and it looks like his wish has come true.

On the June 18th episode of Mnet‘s ‘vol. TEN‘, he stated, “If I work with Yubin, I believe we could make ground-breaking and sensational work together.” When Yubin heard of this, she was flattered and stated, “I was really happy to hear that he specifically chose me… I’ve always wanted to do a collaboration with Tiger JK. If an opportunity presents itself, I would really like to work together.”

Well, it’s been revealed that Tiger JK and Yubin recorded a collaborative performance together for an upcoming episode of SBS‘s ‘You and I‘. Rapper BIZZY was also reported to partake in the performance.

2PM‘s Wooyoung also took part in the filming and will be featured on the episode as well. The upcoming episode of ‘You and I’ is scheduled to air on July 15th at 12:10AM.
