Ulala Session’s Yuntaek talks about the progress of his anticancer treatments

On the August 14th episode of KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘, Ulala Session‘s Yuntaek updated fans on the progress of his anticancer treatments.

Yuntaek revealed, “I’ve currently received up to 20 sessions of anticancer treatments. I heard that the record was 54 treatments, so at this rate, I hope to break the record while I’m at it,” displaying his positive mindset despite his fight with the illness.

He continued, “Honestly, after one examination, I turn into a mummy for the week after. The feeling is about a dozen times worse than the hangovers you get after a night of drinking. I’m up to stage two in my medication.”

Yuntaek also discussed the struggles he has gone through and the hateful comments he has received from those who believe him to be faking his illness on the same episode.

Ulala Session’s Lim Yoon Taek reveals how he first met his wife

Ulala Session‘s Lim Yoon Tek opened up about his personal love story.

On the August 14th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘, Lim Yoon Tek reminisced of the time he first met his now wife.

The singer who made an appearance on the show only two days following his wedding revealed that he actually met his wife on his fan café, and the two shared their first conversation by chatting online.

At the time the fan café was created, Lim Yoon Tek experienced a break up in addition to battling cancer. With his mind, body, and soul extremely worn out, he had a burning desire to grab anyone just to have a conversation.

His wife was online at the time, and he spontaneously sent her a message.

“It was the first time I chatted online, and because I didn’t know her name or her face, it was easy for me to spill out all of my problems,” Lim Yoon Tek said. “Every night, I waited for her.”

Lim who found new energy from this point on asked his wife to meet in person on the day of the ‘Super Star K‘ final preliminaries. Unfortunately, Ulala Session was the last to perform that night and stepped off stage at around 2AM. His wife waited a long 6 hours to see him.

“We just talked until the sun came up,” Lim said, thinking back. “To be honest, her appearance was different from what I expected, but after we talked, she was as warm as I thought she would be.”

Sweet Sorrow to make their first appearance on &#8216;Immortal Song 2&#8242;

A cappella group Sweet Sorrow will be making their first appearance on KBS‘s ’Immortal Song 2‘!

This week’s summer special will feature not only regulars like Super Junior‘s Ryeowook, Ulala Session, Sonya, Ailee, INFINITE‘s Sunggyu, Younha, and Hong Kyung Min, but new performers including Sweet Sorrow, 2PM‘s Junsu, 8Eight‘s Lee Hyun, Cha Ji Hyun, and At.

Well-known for their wit and amazing a cappella skills, Sweet Sorrow’s first performance will showcase the group’s powerful vocals and harmony with Shim Soo Bong‘s hit from the 80′s, “Young Sun“, on this week’s broadcast.

The broadcast will also feature a surprise guest, comedienne Shin Bora, in an exciting duet performance with Ailee. The summer special will run on July 21st and July 28th, so keep your eyes open for some fresh new performances!

Ulala Session to open for Psy&#8217;s upcoming summer concert

Ulala Session will open up the stage for Psy‘s upcoming summer concert, ‘Summer Stand the Drenched Show‘, which will be held on August 11th.

Psy’s interest in the group has always been apparent as he wrote and composed Ulala Session’s title song, “Beautiful Night“, from their first mini-album. In addition, he also agreed to become one of the judges for ‘Superstar K4′ after watching Ulala Session on ‘Superstar K3′.

Meanwhile, Psy recently released his cover and tracklist for his comeback album, ‘Psy’s Best Sixth Part 1‘, after a 2 year hiatus and his newest album, dubbed as ‘featuring special’ album, will be filled with songs featuring top artists. ‘Psy’s Best Sixth Part 1′ is said to be released online on July 15th.
