The maknae of SM Entertainment is actor Lee Jae Ryong?

The current maknae of SM Entertainment turns out to be none other than actor Lee Jae Ryong (47)!

Reporters of KBS‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘ recently visited the set of SM Entertainment’s photoshoot for the S.M.ART EXHIBITION, where they had the opportunity to interview several SM artists, actors, and even meet SM Entertainment chairman and founder Lee Soo Man.

Because veteran singer Kangta was unable to attend the photoshoot, singer BoA turned out to be the sunbae out of all SM artists that day. “It has already been 14 years since I jonied SM Entertainment,” she said.

To this, Lee Soo Man remarked, “Now that I see it, the current maknae of SM is now Lee Jae Ryong,” causing everyone in the studio to burst into laughs. Actor Lee Jae Ryong joined SM Entertainment back in 2011, making him the new maknae of the company.

The reporter then asked sunbae BoA how she thought of the new maknae, to which she replied, “I think he’s doing fine.” Lee Soo Man then pitched in, “He has already undergone the hazing,” giving another round of laughter.

T-ara clarifies why SISTAR’s Hyorin spoke to them informally

T-ara has set out to clarify the rumors surrounding the controversy that occurred after SISTAR‘s Hyorin spoke informally to them on a recent television broadcast.

On the July 14th episode of KBS‘ ‘Entertainment Relay‘, T-ara and SISTAR guested on the ‘Idol Big Match‘ corner. After the show, viewers questioned why Hyorin spoke informally to the T-ara members, who are considered her seniors.

T-ara thought it was appropriate to clear the air through their agency. They expressed on the 16th, “We see SISTAR on and off stage, and we’re very close so we didn’t think much of it at the time, and it’s regrettable that it’s become a controversy now. We hope that people won’t misinterpret things after only watching [the segment that was aired].”

They continued, “SISTAR always works so hard on stage, and we’re fans of the girls. We hope that Hyorin and all of the members receive a lot of love for their good songs and continue their fighting spirit.”

Netizens commented, “It’s refreshing to hear T-ara’s clarification,” “They themselves are saying it’s okay, so why are people making a big deal,” “[People create controversies so easily],” and “I hope both parties continue to be careful though.”
