Hang Jung Su has gone from hunting slaves to hunting ghosts.
In the upcoming Lee Joon Gi and Shin Min Ah-starring MBC drama Arang and the Magistrate, actor Han Jung Su will transform into the charismatic ghost hunter Moo Young.
After winning praise for his portrayal of Cho Jang Goon, the slave hunter from the 2010 drama Chuno, Han Jung Su will now be looking to hunt down and capture the spirits on earth who are unable to pass on to the other world as Moo Young, a grim-reaper like spirit.
Among the wandering spirits he looks to capture is the ghost Arang (Shin Min Ah) who must evade being captured by the skilled Moo Young.
“As Moo Young isn’t a person, I contemplated a lot on his clothing and everything else,” shared actor Han Jung Su.
“To show a difference from the appearance of humans, I wove a string around my hat and held a lot of discussion with the makeup team. The appearance I have now is very close to how I perceived the character so I am very satisfied.”
Arang and the Magistrate will premiere on MBC in August.
