BoA Criticized for Making Lip-Synched Comeback

BoA made her much anticipated comeback through the July 29 episode of SBS’ Inkigayo.

In the episode, BoA gave a spectacular performance of The Shadow and also held her first music program performance for her self-composed title song Only One with SHINee’s Taemin.

But for some fans of BoA, the comeback proved disappointing as she lip-synched her performances for that day, sparking debate on whether the powerful dancing proved BoA still had it or if BoA, known for her live performances, had underwhelmed.

However, BoA herself had previously stated in an interview that for this upcoming round of album activities she would be holding stages that focused on her live skills as well as ones that highlighted her performances, leaving those fans who were disappointed with hope that she would soon be demonstrating her vocal skills in a near future performance.
