Kim Dong Wan Greets SHCJ at Special ‘Deranged’ Screening

In the midst of Deranged reigning in the box office, Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan appeared in front of movie goers and Shinhwa fans at a special movie screening.

On July 11 at Lotte Cinema in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, Kim Dong Wan greeted the movie viewers and thanked them for filling in every seat in the theater, despite it being a weekday.

He apologized for not participating in stage greetings during the movie’s first week of release. Kim Dong Wan was busily finishing up Shinhwa’s Asia Tour concerts.

“I hope you can spread good things about this film through SNS and word-of-mouth.”




With 150 members of Shinhwa’s fanclub, Shinhwa Changjo, present, the theater was filled with fans who held up decorative signs and flower bouquets. They requested Kim Dong Wan to perform a yeongasi dance and even rolled a watermelon towards Kim Dong Wan which he gladly picked up.

Kim Dong Wan also exhibited his trademark of lame jokes by giving a signed poster to a lucky fan while saying, “I’ll give you pain and medicine!” Then he pretended to hit the fan with the poster.

Kim Dong Wan mentioned that he’s been working out after bolding stating that he’ll do 500 pushes with his shirt off in front of the Gwanghwamun if the movie breaks 5 million views.

Meanwhile, Deranged is closing in on 2 million views as of July 10 after premiering on July 5.
