2PM’s Junho Appointed Honorary Ambassador for World Vision

2PM’s Junho was appointed honorary ambassador of the 24 Hour Famine Program hosted by World Vision.

On July 27, the international humanitarian organization World Vision held an appointment ceremony for 2PM’s Junho in Seoul. The 24 Hour Famine is a program in which ordinary people experience the lives of those suffering from poverty, disease and war for a day.

Junho said that he was always interested in helping out with the world’s pains, and said, “I took up the honorary ambassador role for World Vision’s 24 Hour Famine because I agreed with its aims.”

Junho will promote the Korean 24 Hour Famine Program as well as participate in those programs that take place across Asia. He is expected to draw interest and participation from 2PM’s overseas fans.

Junho has continued to support children across the world through World Vision. In January, he used his first vacation in four years to visit Ethiopia and meet patients with a rare disease in which the skin on their feet roughen like elephant skin.

He also met with the child he’s supported for a year to deliver his presents and words of courage and hope. He also started to support another child who lives in Ghana after returning from Ethiopia.

Junho said, “I hope the children I support grow up to become bright adults, and start to help others themselves. I want to show others the warmth and happiness that sharing brings as the honorary ambassador of World Vision’s 24 Hour Famine.”

The next 24 Hour Famine will be held on August 18. Those who wish to participate can apply through World Vision’s 24 Hour Famine webpage.
