Jang Keun Suk Attracts 5 Million Weibo Followers and Becomes Most Followed Overseas Star

Jang Keun Suk has amassed a big following in China- over five million to be exact.

On July 30, the singer/actor surpassed the five millionth mark in terms of followers on China’s Weibo, once more reflecting his popularity as a hallyu star.

In doing so, Jang Keun Suk surpassed other global stars such as Tom Cruise to become the most followed overseas star on Weibo.

Jang Keun Suk started up his Weibo account in August of 2011 and quickly attracted over a million followers within three months and over 3 million followers in six months. Following his appearance on China’s Happy Camp program in June, over 500,000 became additional followers of the star.




Jang Keun Suk will bring his 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour The Cri Show 2 to China’s Mercedes-Benz Arena on August 11.
