While fans are anticipating the release of its second single, 2NE1 decided to cancel the big reveal and focus on its upcoming concert tour.
On July 27, YG entertainment announced, “2NE1 released I Love You on July 5 and planned on releasing a new single three weeks later on July 28, but the schedule has been completely changed.”
The company continued to say, “With 2NE1’s Global Tour beginning on July 28 in Seoul before moving on to the US in August and Japan in September, we worried for the health of the members and decided to pass on the new single release. We will instead release a new album in October.”
With the new plans, 2NE1 will be putting all of its focus on the upcoming concerts and also raise the quality on its upcoming album in October.
2NE1 will be performing at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on July 28 and 29. The group will then be showcasing the New Evolution concerts in New Jersey on August 17, Los Angeles on August 24, Osaka on September 1 to 2, Nagoya on September 7 to 8, and Yokohama on September 11 to 12.
