After unleashing their digital single “Cinderella“ last week, U-KISS is set to release their 7th mini album ‘STOP GIRL‘.
On September 10th the official U-KISS Twitter account shared the photo above of member Kiseop which was taken from the set of their upcoming music video.

On September 8, Song Seung Hun tweeted, ‘Met [Jang] Dong Gun hyung (big brother) for the first time in a long time. A happy picture with Go Soo~ We’re at the preview of [Lee] Byung Hun hyung’s Masquerade’.
Song Seung Hun first got to know Lee Byung Hun in the SBS drama Happy Together. While dropping by for a visit, the actor happened to meet Jang Dong Gun and Go Soo at the afterparty for the screening, and took a picture together to upload on his Twitter account.
Netizens showed surprise at how the big 90s stars still boasted such great looks, and at how Jang Dong Gun and Go Soo especially looked great even though they were married men.
Masquerade is about how a low-class man Ha Sun takes the place of the real king, who is in danger of being poisoned. It was praised by many critics for being a great mix of humor and seriousness.
The film will premiere on September 13.

On September 10th, the Korean Consumer Brand Committee revealed that the ’2012 Brand of the Year Awards’ was scheduled to be held on September 20th at the Hyatt Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. This event will be a combination of performances, TED, and an award ceremony that can be enjoyed by companies and consumers. First on the list of performers is their spokeswoman singer Sonya.
TED is an in-depth study completed by the Consumer Assessment Panel over bi-weekly studies spanning 3 months. The panel will be holding a presentation on ‘The 7 Ways on Brand Evaluation‘ .
In addition to the awards given to the best brands of the year, special awards are given to the top 5 brands chosen in a public survey held by the Consumer Assessment Panel. The 5 most popular brands selected in the survey in 2012 include Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style‘, KBS2TV‘s ‘Gag Concert”s Brave Guys, SBS‘s ‘Healing Camp‘, Samsung Electronics‘ Galaxy Note, and 2012 London Olympic gold medalist gymnast Yang Hak Seok.

A Pink‘s Eunji has apologized after being under fire for her rude behavior in SBS‘s ‘1000 Song Challenge‘.
Through her SNS, she apologized with, “As much as I received love and interest from everyone, I will become A Pink’s Eunji who is even more careful with her action and words.”
Recently, a topic was posted with the title, “A Pink’s Jung Eunji talkative ’1000 Song Challenge’ video“. The video was the September 26th broadcast of ’1000 Song Challenge’. Eunji had participated in the karaoke challenge, in which the first person to run up to grab the microphone and sing the chorus verse would win.
During the recording, while comedian Han Min Kwan and Kim Hyun Jung were holding the microphone and singing, Eunji was pulling the microphone towards her side. In addition, Eunji was under fire when she pulled the microphone when judo athlete Cho Jun Ho was holding it.

Fat Cat is attracting much attention through a single for ‘Laws of the Jungle‘, as fans are awaiting her comeback.
On the September 9th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle in Madagascar‘, Fat Cat’s “Southern Cross” was played as background music when the stars were laying in the desert and looking at the sky. Viewers became interested in Fat Cat’s comeback after the song was aired.
Last March, Fat Cat was promoting her third single, “Like a Dream‘”, but unfortunately had to halt her activities due to health conditions as her hands, feet, and face were swelling.
One representative explained to allthatkpops, “With the goal of making a comeback this November or early next year, we participated in the background music for ‘Laws of the Jungle’. For the past six months, Fat Cat focused on her health and treatment and is now fully recovered and in her normal condition.“
D-Unit‘s Wooram began crying as she talked about T-ara member Boram‘s worsening health.
Both T-ara and D-Unit appeared on the September 8th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘. Although the two have similar promotional schedules and would potentially meet frequently at music programs, they have not been able to do so due to the T-ara scandal.
Wooram was able to meet her older sister, Boram, during her free time and talk with her. Wooram relayed, “Unni lost too much weight. It’s to the extent of being a skeleton. Because of the ‘T-ara’ problem, she had a lot of worries and concerns so she didn’t eat well“, in which she began crying over Boram’s worsening health.
However, Boram tried to comfort her younger sister as she told her, “It’s not to the extent of worrying. I’m doing well so don’t worry.” Wooram explained, “Everyday, T-ara related articles come up and because of the public’s negative view, the members seem to have a lot of worries and troubles.”
Wooram promised to T-ara’s Boram that she would rise to the original position as she stated, “Unni placed first on music programs. Because the T-ara members worked hard, they were able to achieve these accomplishments. Rank is not important for D-Unit, but we hope to work hard and achieve 1st.”
D-Unit’s representative revealed, “The sister relationship between Boram and Wooram is exceptional. It’s good to see them encourage each other. Wooram’s concern over Boram’s deteriorating health and weight loss is substantial. It would be good to see them promote healthily.”

Cha Seung Won is making his first challenge in a Japanese play.
On 7th, the Japanese agency of Cha Seung Won told that Cha Seung Won will be casting in play 'Give Me Fire Car', which is directed under Jun Eui Shin, who is also famous in Korea for 'Yakiniku Dragon'.
In the play, Cha Seung Won will be casting as Lee Soon Woo, and he will develop his friendship with Yanagihara Naoki(Kusanagi Tsuyoshi), who loves Korean culture.
Other than Cha Seung Won, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, Hirosue Ryoko, Kagawa Teruyuki, and Kim Eung Soo will be casting in the drama, and they will show their struggle and friendship to keep Korean art culture.
On the other hand, the play will be presented at Tokyo Akasaka ACT Theater and Osaka Umeda Arts Theater, and it will be presented in Korea in early 2013.

The reason why the Infinity Challenge cast members were mysteriously dressed in drag has been revealed.
On the upcoming episode of MBC’s Infinity Challenge the cast members will shoot a parody music video of Psy’s Gangnam Style.
The episode will be a continuation of the ‘As You Say’ special from last month and will show Jung Joon Ha and Jung Hyung Don carrying out their respective promises to eat kong guksu and yeolmu guksoo on the Dokdo Islands and to eat jja jang myun at the Great Wall of China.
In addition to their missions, the two teams will each release their own parodies of Gangnam Style, one a ‘Dokdo Style’ music video and one a ‘Beijing Style’ music video. 
However, it was revealed that the Dokdo Island team encountered Typhoon Bolaven on the day of its filming and the upcoming episode will air how they decided to proceed.
The episode will air on September 8.

Gu Hye Sun is donating her talent for a special documentary.
According to YG Entertainment, Gu Hye Sun will narrate SBS′ special documentary The Hospice for the Children Who Live For Today.
The documentary will focus on terminally-ill children and the hospice service that provides comfort and ease for children. The special will highlight the fact that Korea lacks a children-oriented hospice. 
Gu Hye Sun previously narrated for a animal-humans relations documentary earlier this year and donated her paycheck towards an animal protection center.
The actress will once more donate all of her earnings from the SBS documentary’s narration to charity.
The actress shared through her agency, “I hope that in the near future a children-oriented hospice center will be built to lessen the pain for terminally ill children.”

Actor Lee Jong-suk has agreed to star in Nicole’s music video for the song “Lost.”
Lee decided to take part in filming to help out his co-host on SBS’s “Popular Songs.” The two will play lovers in the clip, and Lee will play the role of a smitten boyfriend who feels the brunt of a break-up.

Upcoming film ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ has revealed a new still on September 6th featuring actor Jang Dong Gun and actress Cecilia Cheung.
‘Dangerous Liaisons’ is directed by Hur Jin Ho and has an all-star cast list including Jang Dong Gun, Zhang Zi Yi, and Cecilia Cheung. The film has already been invited to the 65th Cannes Film Festival and 37th Toronto International Film Festival before its official opening in South Korea next month.
In the newly released still, Cecilia Cheung ditches her pure image, and morphs into a charming seductress that seduces Jang Dong Gun.
In the film, Cecilia Cheung plays the role of Madam Mo Jie Yu, who possesses beauty, wealth, and intelligence. She is a woman with power and status, and has every man eating out of her hand. With the pure and chaste Madam Du Fen Yu (Zhang Zi Yi) as wager, Mo Jie Yu dares Xie Yi Fan to win the heart of Du. Mo tells Xie, “If you win, I am all your,” beginning their game of dangerous liaisons.
Since Glenn Close in 1988’s ‘Dangerous Liaisons’, Annette Benning in 1989’s ‘Valmont’, and Lee MiSook in 2003’s ‘Untold
Scandal’, many are anticipating to how Cecilia Cheung will reprise her role and whether she can live up to the success gained by her predecessors in the past.
‘Dangerous Liaisons’ also marks the second film collaboration between Cecilia Cheung and Jang Dong Gun after ‘The Promise’ back in 2005.
‘Dangerous Liaisons’is set in 1930s Shanghai and talks of a complicated triangle relationship between a man and 2 women. The film will air this October in South Korean cinemas.
Psy will be starring in a special documentary about his road to becoming an international sensation on MBC’ ‘Rising to Stardom! Gangnam Style’ which is expected to premiere on the 21st. An MBC representative revealed, “We have been working on this since last month.”
The documentary, like it’s title, will feature the stories behind Psy’s rise to stardom with a focus on the events that happened with the release of his album, ‘Psy’s Best Sixth‘, this past July. Footage of Psy’s promotional trip to the U.S. will also be revealed as well.

Figure skater Kim Yuna recently celebrated her 22nd birthday on September 5th and updated her fans with a few snapshots.
Photos of the figure skater were uploaded on her official homepage and show her smiling at the camera as she stands beside birthday gifts received from her fans. Another photo shows Kim Yuna taking a friendly snapshot with her fellow figure skating hoobaes as they celebrate her birthday.

Reply 1997 fever is showing no signs of dying down, as fans just can’t get enough of all that old school k-pop goodness. But the production staff revealed that they were going to take the drama even further back.
Producer Shin Won Ho stated, “When writer Lee Wu Jeong and I were first planning the drama, we were focusing on the year 1994 because that was when we were students.”
So why the sudden change?
With Eun Ji Won playing an important role in the drama, the production staff thought it would be fun to change the year to when the singer was performing as a Sechs Kies member.
The staff also added that 1997 was also a time when pop music was at its peak, while the Korean economy was tanking.
In regards to another season of Reply 1997, Shin replied, “It’s possible if there’s good material and a storyline, but I don’t have any intention of creating a remake of it.”
The drama has two more episodes to go before it wrapping up on September 18.

Seo In Guk and Jung Eun Ji - currently one of television’s hottest couples - is also the hottest couple in this week’s ranking on Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100.
In the latest chart ranking for the week of September 15, 2012, the duo’s remake song All For You from Reply 1997’s OST stormed the top of the chart by placing first, keeping Psy’s Gangnam Style at bay in second.
Psy was sandwiched in between another duet, Huh Gak and Zia’s I Need You which came in third.
Kara’s Pandora took a step down to fourth from last week’s third ranking and was followed behind by G-Dragon making his debut on this week’s chart with That XX in fifth.
Despite SBS’ A Gentleman’s Dignity having concluded for weeks now,My Love by Lee Jong Hyun (of CN Blue) continued to enjoy popularity and came in sixth this week followed behind by BoA’s Only One in seventh and B2ST’s Beautiful Night in eighth.
Closing out the top 10 was SISTAR’s hit summer track Loving U in ninth and Psy’s What Should Have Been featuring Park Jung Hyun in tenth.

The Chinese-Taiwanese drama, When Loved Walked In is enjoying immense popularity.
Starring Super Junior-M’s Zhou Mi, f(x)’s Victoria and actress Zhao Wei, the drama premiered on August 27 and currently airs on China’s Anhui Television, Hubei Television, Shanghai Television and other channels.
Victoria plays a Cinderella-like character named Shim Ah Eum who falls into a love triangle with two men from two rich families. 
According to China’s CSM, which measures viewership ratings, the recently aired September 3 episode brought in a .902 percent rating while the next day’s episode brought in a .987 percent rating, placing first in its time slot.
Super Junior-M and f(x) will next be seen at the next stop of the SM Town Live World Tour global concert series at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Psy’s US career is just taking off, even being invited to the MTV and Taco Bell VMA pre-party on September 6 (PST) in Los Angeles.
The horse-riding dancer stood on the same stage as U.K. boyband, The Wanted, who joined Psy in dancing when he performed Gangnam Style at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. 
Fans could be heard asking if it was really Psy on the stage and cheering as Psy actually takes the stage. The audience raved as the famous chorus and the horse-riding dance part came out, and started dancing with the stars.

Baek A Yeon, who is already garnering a hot response after revealing 2PM’s Junsu, had written a track for her debut album, is continuing to tease with a new audio clip teaser of the very same track.
On September 7, Junsu tweeted, “Baek A Yeon – Always (feat Jun.K) Teaser. 2012. 09. 10 Baek A Yeon’s ‘Always’ Please have a lot of anticipation for it.” Included with the tweet was a YouTube link which revealed a 30 second audio teaser of the track.
The song opens with Junsu’s explosive rap before a sweeping orchestra comes in and closes out with Baek Ah Yeon’s heartfelt emotional singing.
The debut album for Baek A Yeon will drop on September 10 with title song, Sad Song(Trans. Title: Slow Song).

Popular boy group INFINITE held a fan signing event for their Japanese fans in celebration of the release of their third Japanese single “She’s Back“.
Held at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Balt 9, the event seated 150 lucky fans who were chosen out of the many who had bought the album.
It was said that a funny scene was witnessed at the event as a third of the audience was busy taking out their mirrors and fixing their makeup before the fan meeting began. One audience member in her 20s stated, “I’ve been counting down the days until today. I’m so excited to see INFINITE with my own eyes. I woke up early this morning and went to the salon to get my hair and makeup done to prepare to see the INFINITE oppas.”
The event began with a showing of the music video for “She’s Back”, followed by the entrance of the INFINITE members who briefly posed for a few photos before meeting their fans for the signing part of the event.
Meanwhile, the boy group’s third single sold 38,998 copies in its first week of release, and rose to the number 3 spot on the Oricon Weekly chart.
From October 27th through November 11th, INFINITE will begin their first ‘2012 INFINITE Arena Tour in Japan‘ starting with Yokohama, then continuing to Nagoya, Kobe, and Fukuoka to perform for 60,000 fans.
